http://www.tv.com

The site recently launched, and it looks pretty good. It's got a similar style to MP3.com, with some GameSpot features in there as well.

I think it took a lot of content, such as episode guides, from TVTome.com, which CNET bought a few months ago. There's a lot of options for rating and reviewing series, episodes, actors, etc., and you gain member points for contributing (if you care about that kind of thing).

You can also track specific series, actors, writers, directors, and so on. I'm not sure what good that does at the moment, aside from putting them in a list for you. I'm hoping they do something like GameSpot, where you'll get e-mailed when there's a new update related to that show/person.

The registration system's connected to other CNET sites, so if you've already got an account with GameSpot, GameFAQs, or MP3.com, you can sign in using that.

It took stuff from tvtome because it is the new tvtome. In the announcement on tvtome that CNET bought them, tv.com was given as the new address starting soon. It looks alot more professional than tome does and has alot more options. Very impressive.

The site does look better than tvtome.

I wonder if this means changes to various show pages' staff. Some of them I swear just didn't get it half the time.

I.e. some of the Angel stuff for Season 4 was dead wrong (including spoilers for Buffy's finale that included EVERYONE from Angel's cast (including Cordy and Connor) appearing) and that includes tidbits from episodes.

Couple of wrong examples: On one episode featuring Faith and Angelus, Faith asked Angelus if he kissed his momma with that mouth (Angelus said a rather filthy word) to which Angelus replied "No, but I ate her with it" and the person running the guide thought it was a reference to a Buffy episode title that same week. Obviosuly it was a reference to Angelus EATING his family which has been mentioned many times on both Buffy and Angel.

The second was during the S4 finale, the climax happens in a sporting goods store of an LA mall, naturally Laker and Clipper jerseys would be among the props with "Los Angeles" visable. Well whomever did the guide page thought it was "Angel" on the jerseys! :spank:

Person was just looking for references where they didn't exist!

Well, I sort of see it. I believe that line happened in "Salvage," while the Buffy episode that was on during the same week was "The Killer in Me."

But it is looking into it way too much.

The line came from Orphus (or whatever its spelled) where Faith and Angelus are sharing a coma inside Angel.

That night's episode of Buffy was "Lies My Parents Told Me"'

BTW I just checked and it looks like the entire season's guide on TvTome.com has been reworked, no reference to the line or the "Angel jerseys"

Neat line though, I'm surprised its not in the quote section though. Both were corrected on the old guide

Then that makes zero sense. Whoever wrote that in the first place needs to be stabbed or something.
