Aaah, they're awesome! I really envy you for getting to see them perform live.

Does he still use that coffin shaped bass?

They're Danish, and I live in Denmark. When I first discovered their music I really wanted to see them live so I was quite disappointed to hear they live in the US (California?).

My band is called The Resistance and we made a song called Nekrosistance as a tribute to this great band that I've never seen or met :D

Oh yeah he still uses it. He poured beer on it and licked it off too. That was cool.

He also made a gay joke to my friend.

My friend was having him sign his back patch and he walked up and bent over and Nekroman goes

"Is that an offer?"

and my other friend goes "He loves the cock!"

and Nekroman goes "Whoa guys I was just kidding! I'm only on tour for 3 months. Not that desperate yet."

:D

Your friend sitting in a bar 40 years from now: "You know, young man, I once spoke to the great Nekroman".

Young man in bar: "Wow! That's awesome. What did you say to him?"

Your friend: "He loves the cock"

Young man in bar: "Check, please".

Sounds like a great show. What other bands within the genre do you like?

Nekroman also plays guitar for the Horrorpops, which is a psychobilly band fronted by two females. They have two go-go dancers who tour with them, too. They're pretty cool.

I greatly dislike the Horrorpops, yet loved every Nekromantix I've heard

Wow. Strong words. I've never heard the Horrorpops. What are they like?

Btw. Has anyone heard of a band called Ad Sin? They're on a compilation I have. They play an incredible version of Turbonegro's "Rock Against Ass". Tried to google them but they're hard to find apparantly.

I'd personally recommend "Where They Wander", "Julia", and "Kool Flaptop", if you're looking at getting into the Horrorpops. I think the rockabilly genre is generally hit or miss, and I didn't like the HP on first listen, so I understand where Corey's coming from.

I didn't care for them much at all until they came through town.

"Who Killed The Cheerleader?" is a must-have by the Nekromantix. I just don't like the Horrorpops, and I don't know why, but there's nothing about them I really can sink my teeth into.

I think "Trick of Treat" is my favourite Nekromantix track.

I found two Horrorpops tracks on Pure Volume (which seems to be my new favourite site btw) and they were ok, but I kept listening for the cocky swagger of Nekromatix. Kinda unfair I guess, since they're two different bands.

So no one has any info about Ad Sin, then? :(
