Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 Well no shit, Boston was pumping out a couple million gallons of rum a year for the British using molasses from the West Indies, and closing the harbor understandably pissed them off. Whoever said that it was "all about tea" is a retard. By the way, that link requires you to have a membership to the site to see the story.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2005 You thought it was all about tea? Nope, the American Revolution started because the colonists were desperate for rum. Did anyone EVER say it was about tea? Call me crazy, but I'm still a firm believer that the reason for the American Revolution was that the leaders of the colonies wanted the restoration of self-rule.
