The return of Matt Hardy!!!

Recommended Posts

I don't think it's that suprising; but what does TNA have to gain? I'd want clearence for him to appear on a few Impact tapings too so they might be able to get something out of it. If Hardy was appearing in TNA, WWE and ROH for at least a month continuously; it'd really get over the angle and himself.

Um, asshole, by "calling" I mean predicting. I predicted after his column after RAW on Monday that he'd be appearing at the TNA show even in a "seen on camera in the crowd" capacity while everyone else shot the idea down.

Not everyone checks the TNA folder, and it hadn't been posted in this thread yet.

Thanks for enlightening me though.

Um, I didnt post it as a bitch slap, just to let you know that it is also being discussed elsewhere if youd like to check it out. More action there than in this thread which has slowed.

And yes, I know what calling means. :bonk: You can predict anything you like, you have to post it though for it to mean anything. Considering you were talking about TNA you should check out folder and I never said it was posted in this thread.

Very little IMHO. Id only let him on air if he was allowed to work a 3 month fued with a proper blow-off, putting a TNA guy over and spouting off about the WWE.

I think like Rudo, that it's possible the whole thing was a work. The "affair" and everything.

There was talk of having Hardy come back from his injury and having Lita turn on him then and going with Kane. All it takes is for Hardy to suggest this crazy angle. Cuz you know the writers didn't think of this. They don't know what IWC is, they worry about the 5 year old boys marking for Cena.

It's possible Matt or someone suggested this to Vince as an alternative, if so, whomever did, is a genius.

Coincidentally or not I dont know, but the WWE Fear Factor with Matt Hardy winning the thing was on the local UPN station here in MN in syndication this weekend.

3 Twists of Fate???? Required interference by Punk???? And all that still didnt work.

Hell, just on the basis of KNK's post, Daniels looks better than Matt, even if he lost the match.

BTW: MJ Styles, you have been posting in the TNA No Surrender thread so just shut it.

I think they did that on purpose because they don't want to ruin their own stars while Matt Hardy will never wrestle for RoH again

I know, just makes Matt look real week IMHO. And I cant see how Vince will allow Matt to look weak on RoH but not on TNA. Thats just ridiculous. WWE have some kind of agreement on RoH but nothing with TNA. Surely, it makes sense for TNA to 'use' Matt more than RoH can.

I don't think it makes him look week, just makes Daniels look strong.

It took alot to take him out.. but he did it.

Yes, but surely by making Daniels look strong, that makes Hardy look weak.

Its like Kane kicking out of 3 Spears and a briefcase shot. Edge would look real week.

Tenacious it may make Matt look. Still looks weak too though IMHO.

you people criticize too much

Was that aimed at me?

On 2nd thoughts, it makes whoever gets pinned after 1 Twist of Fate look real week now IMHO.

The Matt-Daniels match wasnt a huge match for a title, hence IMHO the ending was overkill.

ROH probably should have just jobbed Matt to Daniels then. If he walks instead of going through with it, fuck him. Not like he'll be back or anything.

Exactly, relatively speaking Matt won the match but Daniels went over. Maybe it is mission accomplished after all. RoH didnt job out their talent and Matt still got the victory. This would never happen on WWE TV though.

Nah, no way the WHOLE thing was a work. WWE creative isn't that good.

I guess this is the right place for this, but just a thought about the Hardy thing last night. Was anyone kind of let down by the lack of creativity in how they handled that last night? I did expect him to show back up again much like last week, but that was the writer's fault for teasing it with Hardy escaping security and running into the crowd. Would have much rather seen Hardy just show up to actually cost Edge a chance to win by climbing the cage and attacking him as he was about to escape the cage.

Another thought brought up when a friend and myself were watching last night. I know they are desperately trying to play this whole thing off as a worked shoot, but since this IS being played out on live TV and is a work, and even the most ridiculous marks can now even see that, why isnt Hardy pissed at Kane at all? This was the guy that basically raped his girl, married her, and "hurt him" so that he was off of TV for months. Not that I need to see Kane v. Hardy but it's just kind of unusual and illogical how they are handling this. I guess its supposed to play into the whole worked shoot aspect.

I can already see the Hardy appearance next week, as the ambulance driver or else just sitting in the back of the ambulance when someone puts the stretcher into it.

Actually, I preferred what they did this week. I think the double shot last week was dumb. It was nice to see Edge preoccupied with Kane and the Cage and then Matt jumped him from nowhere. They couldnt really have Edge in the Cage and Matt on the outside, with Edge like your not so tough now and Matt starts to scale the cage, cause since they are trying to lead us to believe its a shoot, security should have him down by the time he could even start to climb the cage. And if he were to get into the cage, then what? He cant escape and run out on Edge.

I think they are expecting us to forget about that. Kane was a kayfabed fling, so that wouldnt piss Matt off. Edges isnt. Matt lost to Kane in the wrestling world. Besides, its the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I would have no problem what-so-ever if hes the driver, and stops outside the building to start beating up Edge or is in the back waiting for him.

This has got to be in, land some punches and out. Nothing more. Would detract alot from it otherwise.

Matt's fighting a guerilla war.  Pretty simple concept.

And yeah, they'll just say "Well, obviously Kane/Lita was all a storyline..."

Yeah but we are getting relatively close to where admitting some things are "real" and other things "arent" confuse the casual viewer. All I'm asking is to play to some storylines as well as continuing to work this "shoot" - I dont think it's alot to ask, plus it would give Kane some purpose being involved in all of this mess still. Plus how many weeks are you just going to have Hardy jump Edge? It's going to get old fast unless they figure out some side plans to build to the assumed SummerSlam match.

I dont think they are going to expose the business and confuse casual viewers by doing so. They will just do what they always do, drop it till people forget about it. I would prefer a drawn out Matt-Edge fued (I always prefer drawn out fueds, I really like what TNA are doing with Raven-Jarrett at the moment), but I dont blame for trying to get it over with quickly, since they dont know how long the interest will last. SS is just 4 weeks away. Another attack next week, then Edge demands a match. Matt accepts with 2 weeks to go. Its not that far off RedJed.

In his first public confession that he has signed a return deal with WWE, Matt Hardy updated TheMattHardyShow.com to thank fans for encouraging WWE to bring him back (and encouraging him to return to WWE).

"It was the support and stance of you guys that led me back to appearing on the WWE programming. The people that signed petitions for me, called or e-mail the WWE, or chanted for me at WWE events worldwide drove me to return. Your voice was heard, your opinion mattered–and because you stood up for me and what was right, I had to seize the moment–on my terms. It’s time for Matt Hardy to go “swim in the shark tank” once again," Hardy said.

He also put over ROH, while noting that he elbowed Johnny Ace in the eye during the interference on RAW.

A new article in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette covers the Matt Hardy/WWE saga. One interesting note, however, is that WWE's Gary Davis insists that the company has not re-signed Matt Hardy.

The article wrote, "WWE spokesman Gary Davis said Hardy is not under contract with the company, playing down speculation that the affair would continue to be exploited on WWE television shows."

Keeping consistent with past actions from WWE, Davis refused to offer a reason for Matt Hardy's original release from the company.

"At the time we released Matt, we didn't give a reason. We're not going to say anything now, other than we wish him well," Davis said.

TNA star AJ Styles was also quoted in the article; he dismissed the possibility that Matt Hardy's storyline with WWE is a work.

"But if the whole thing was a work, Matt wouldn't be taking all these independent bookings," Styles said.

Nice try Mr. Davis.
