Question about licensing law...

Recommended Posts

Guest Catcher8C

I don't post much but I was wondering about a few things. Since I drive an 04' and I'm only 17 the cops are always following me and running the plates. The other day I decided to drive without my license, and it just so happened to be the day that they were determined to stop me to see what I was trying to pull I guess.

So as soon as the first cop starts following me I pull into a gas station and wait for him to leave, BC of course he doesn't want me to know that I'm onto him. As soon as I try to get back on the highway, I see the same cop sitting on the overpass, so I go down the side road instead. I cut off into the woods and he's following about 100 feet away until I get to my house, and he drives off.

Now I guess the story doesn't matter, but I was wondering how far a cop could legally go in profiling someone the way I was. I figure he would have pulled me over right away if I had done one thing wrong, so then why did he keep following me?

Also, what are the consequences for driving without a license? That was the only thing that really scared me.

Thanks.

Catch.

If you have a valid driver's license, you don't really have much to worry about if it's not in your pocket at the moment. They'll run the plates, punch you up on the computer, and see you have one. They'll still make you probably bring it down to the police station to prove it because they're cocksucker cops who want to waste your time and harass you.

Young + a nice vehicle means drug dealer or rich kid to a cop. Either way that's an avenue for them to harass or extort you. Also, if you're not doing anything wrong, don't run away from them like that, because then they think you are.
