To Anyone Who Plays The Harvest Moon Series

I have been a faithful follower of the Harvest Moon series since the original game on SNES. Now, I didn't really like "A Wonderful Life" on the GameCube, so the new one coming out "Another Wonderful Life" -- is this just the same game except you play a girl farmer? If anyone knows if there is any other differences, let me know. Otherwise, I won't waste the money just to play as a girl.

From what I'm hearing it's pretty much the same game as Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life, except for the change to a female lead and male love interests and the addition of female rivals that compete for the attention of the love interests and possibly new outfits for your character. Personally, I just want to know how much the gender switch affects the child raising process.

If you haven't picked up HM: Wonderful Life yet and want to play as a girl, sounds like a decent pick-up. If you already have HM: Wonderful Life, it sounds like you can pass it up unless you really want to be a Harvest Moon completist.

I loved it for the SNES. I was given Wonderful Life as a gift and could not make myself care enough to keep playing it. I don't think it was a bad game or anything, maybe the idea of a farm sim just wore off on me as I grew up.

I got really into the one on the 64. Beat it, loved it. The Cube one kinda blows tho so if this new one is more of the same I don't think I'll get it.

I liked the 64 one too. IMO, it was the best of the series. I must of played that version a dozen times to get all the different endings and everything.

Yeah I'm of the opinion A Wonderful Life sucked. It had a limited playing value. Though I had fun courting Muffy...

Muffy = newer version of the semi-trampy Popuri. Minus the crack. (Remember Popuri's red eyes?!?!)

Yeah, so if this is just a girl version of AWL, I'm not wasting the money. AWL was the worst of the whole series, by far.
