Steve J. Rogers Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 BTW, did they ever get far in the expansion of the themed restaurants? In terms of actually getting locals planned and such? Well anyway, maybe this should be moved to General/Old School but since it hasn't been THAT long since The World closed its doors. Well in NYC The Hard Rock Cafe closed up shop on 57th street and is now officially in Times Square. It just opened couple of weeks back but should start having events and such starting in September Was there last weekend, obviously no mention of the former tennants, but interesting factoid about a long ago tennant, the Paramount Theatre, that sort of makes the Hard Rock being there seem appropriate, The Beatles played there one night in 1964, in attendance a man who would meet them backstage later that night, a moment that changed the course of pop-music history in this country. That man, Robert Zimmerman, aka Bob Dylan Steve
Lord of The Curry Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Get it while it's hot kids 'cause this thread isn't long for it's time. OMG DLETE PLZ.
claydude14 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 I was in NYC in May 04 for a Sr. class trip and we drove past the old WWF NY in our bus. I got some pictures through our bus window; all that was left was the scrolling Marquee which switched between RAW and SPIKE TV logo and the Smackdown! and UPN logo with appropriate time slots. Also, there's a WWE store in Niagra Falls. I've never been there though, so I'm not sure if it's a restaurant.
Positively Kanyon Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Also, there's a WWE store in Niagra Falls. I've never been there though, so I'm not sure if it's a restaurant. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been there, it's just a merchandise store. Not much happens there.

No shirts but a lot of Toys R Us exclusive figures.
