Tampa has nearly quadruple the total yardage of the Vikings, 230-60

And the Vikings get booed as they leave the field for halftime

They should just be glad guns aren't allowed in. I have a feeling more than boos will be flying if they have a second half like the first half they just had.

In over a decade of Viking fandom, I think this is the first time I've ever heard them get booed at home. Vikings fans aren't known for turning on their own team (not like, say, Philly). It's the Minnesota hospitality thing... but I guess it's already been exhausted in a couple of hours

When you find out you got outgained by the Bears in the first half...I'd say that yeah, hospitality like diplomacy is dead.

Still, it IS the first game of the season. The only team I think that is showing an accurate picture of the season are the Titans cause they are just too damn young. WAY too young.

Get this...

In a fantasy league with buddies of mine I had 4 RB's to choose from today. J. Lewis, J. Jones, C. Williams, and W. Parker.

I picked Jones and parker...so far so good :)

Patrick Ramsey's brain and neck have been found and he might be returning to the game. So the Bears defense will get a second chance to end his NFL career.

Poor Joe Gibbs. Just call it a "Interesting expirement" and move away from Football for good.

Not only that, he has been not needed for his Nascar team as they have done well without him.

Just go golf and live your life. The old man just loves stress and long hours in the office.

Actually, Tony calls him before and after every race and it's not like a car owner means much in NASCAR to begin with. Not that it matters to this, but still.

And holy crap, the Bears have a touchdown. They will actually lead it seems, unless the kicker blows the kick. Skins fumbled the opening kickoff and the Bears ACTUALLY took advantage.

Orton has looked decent enough, lot of drops by his receivers but he looks very good on the td drive.

And Aaron Brooks proves, once again, that he's still Aaron Brooks.

Way to fumble with nobody touching you.

It amused me, at least.

And is Parker good --- or is Tennessee just the worst "D" out there?

I haven't understood Aaron Brooks starting since the day he started.

Who is the back-up in New Orleans anyway?

ETA: Little bit of both Mike, little bit of both. He's just walking right up the middle on them though. The defense is just way too....uggh.

Cincinnati just might regret getting rid of Warrick now as Johnson is carried to the locker room.

The Panther went to the Super Bowl the year before last and had alot of players injured last year. Despite that, they still played hard and almost made the playoffs. That's why they're favorites. This runing back for the Steelers is either really good, or the Titans suck at defending the run.

Also because the NFC is just that bad.

I'm convinced a 9-7 team from the NFC will make the Superbowl.

Some guy named Todd Bauman.

Hmm, maybe if they call the WalMart they can convince them to give Ryan Leaf a few months of vacation time.

He took anger management classes you know?

The NFL needs the yearly "Ryan Leaf tries out, makes a team, plays one game so badly they cut him the same day" event.

Did Buffalo go retro uniform for good, or is this a one game deal?

One shot deal. If they'd changed their uniforms, it would have been mentioned long before now.

They're BUTT-ass ugly.

TD from Jeremi Johnson to bring the score up 24-10 for the Bengals.

Jesus, Tennessee will be worse than Miami, Chicago, or Washington this season.

Odell Thurman with a very nice interception. What a fucking pick up this guy was for the Bengals.

I think that was the plan by the Titans. You bring in Norm Chow, you blow the season, you draft Matt Leinart once Steve McNair gets his legs broken in the regular season when the line forgets to block for him, and you pick some second round wide-outs.

Then you teach Travis Henry to stop fumbling the ball.

See? Simple.

Chad Johnson is reported as just a cramp and is probable to return.

That's a big sigh of relief as the Bengals extend the lead to 27-10 over the Browns.
