Guest Report post Posted May 24, 2002 I won't stop watching altogether, but my need to watch evey RAW and Smackdown is dead. I could miss a show and not care. This is bad considering I use to stay up until 3am for the re-run here in England. that's how i feel now. i'm flipping through channels, and i see Raw and Whose Line is it Anyway. guess which one i pick... Guest Redhawk Report post Posted May 25, 2002 I know that a lot of smarks think they can write better material than what we're seeing now, but consider this: Let's say you're a WWE writer. You listen to smarks and marks, and with this information you come up with an idea. You're going to have Triple H in a heated feud with Chris Jericho for the Undisputed title. There's gonna be a love triangle with Stephanie, lots of continiuity and all that, and it's all going to lead to a killer match at Wrestlemania where HHH vanquishes the dastardly Jericho. Now here's the problem: You have to get Triple H to agree to make Jericho look good and lay down for him a couple of times leading up to the PPV. You have to convince Stephanie to not dominate the feud, but just play a supporting role. You have to convince Vince McMahon to NOT get involved at all. My point is, I'm sure I can look at a WWE show and say, "I can write better than that." But I don't have to deal with egotitical wrestlers concerned with keeping their heat, non-wrestlers who want to be on TV all the time, guys who refuse to take this move or job to certain people, etc. It's harder than we think. That being said, Vince needs to trust his writers (or get new ones he can trust) and get tough with the asshole wrestlers who try to hold veto power over booking decisions.
