2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Oklahoma should be embarassed. You should never get your ass kicked by your rival like that. And they basically just handed Vince Young the Heisman Trophy. Also, Bomar threw for 94 yards on 12 of 33. That's just sad. Why not give Tommy Grandy a chance?
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Why bother. OU will be lucky to make the Independence Bowl. Just keep Bomar in to get experience.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 And Texas Tech is blowing Nebraska out 21-0. I don't think Nebraska's offense is good enough to catch up with the lead they've spotted the Red Raiders. I think that people are sleeping on Tech. I've already got the shitty OU pegged as losing to them and they may take Texas as well.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Tech/Texas is in Austin so that ain't gonna happen.

Why not give Tommy Grandy a chance? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because Tommy Grady doesn't play at OU anymore...... Hey they may have beaten us bad but in 2000 and 2003 we beat them by over 50 both times. So as embarassing as this was we've embarassed them worse in our 5 game winning streak. Lucky to make the Independence Bowl? Well the rest of the Big XII isn't that good. What does OU have left? Kansas at Arrowhead? Baylor at home? Tech on the road(yeah that's a loss)? OSU(the worst team in the Big XII) at home? Nebraska on the road?(good D but no O)A&M(a bad team as well) at home? They should by all means go 7-4 and finish 3rd in the Big XII. They're going to a bowl. They won't have a losing season. But they do have one more loss waiting for them in Lubbock. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Tech/Texas is in Austin so that ain't gonna happen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well Tech beat them last time they played in Austin. But you're probably right. And USC's only got a 14-7 lead at the half on Arizona. I suppose they're just going to "flip the switch" again right?

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Hey, Baylor won a Big XII road game! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Bears are for real!!!! Cotton Bowl bound! Anyway I think Oklahoma State might be the worst team in the Big XII. Those guys suck. I know I'd lose my job if I did it but I just want to go to Bob Stoops and say "What the hell is your problem? Did you forget how to coach football?"
Guest I miss Test. Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Texas still doesn't impress me much... OU is freaking horrible this year. If VT manages to stay undefeated throughout their ACC schedule, it's a crime if they're not in over Texas.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Why would it be a crime? It'd be the same situation as last year--three teams, two spots. Somebody is going to get screwed regardless of the outcome if that happens and it'll be a "crime" to fans of whichever team it happens to. Let's end the year with three undefeated teams first though before we start the doomsday scenarios...

therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Reason number 12345 Lloyd Carr should be fired. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be an affront to Bo so Michigan shouldn't even think about it. But seriously, Michigan needs to try and get Lloyd thinking about retirement. They need an innovator for a coach, like Petrino or Hawkins, not another "Michigan Man"... Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2005 Actually OU is 2-3. It's just hard to picture a Bob Stoops coached team not even going to a bowl. But I mean they have Kansas who sucks worse than KSU and they tore KSU a new one. They have Baylor who while good is not that good. They have Nebraska and Tech which will both be challenges and they'll either go 1-1 or 0-2 in those games. And then they have OSU who is the worst team in the Big XII and A&M who seems to be joining OSU on the bottom rung of the Big XII. OU should probably finish 7-4 or 6-5. Both bowl worthy. Maybe Independence Bowl worthy though. Yikes.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2005 Doug Gottlieb was talking about the general feeling around ESPN about OU and he said it's utter shock. Like everyone knew they were going to have problems but none of them knew it was going to be this bad. Then he said Corso and Mel Kiper Jr. are convinced OU will win the Big XII next year b/c they say all the young guys will be better. We'll see how good they get in a year. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2005 Wow anyone checking out CU/A&M? I mean I know A&M sucks but Colorado seems to be playing at a pretty high level this season. I guess we'll see how they do against Texas next week. Anyone watching Penn State/Ohio State? How's it look for the Nittany Lions to everyone so far? They're ahead. Oh and something funny. All of you saw how bad Rhett Bomar sucks today. Well here's some funny stuff to look back on after Bomar's first 5 games: -all the sorority girls at OU love Bomar. they go on about how hot he is and how much better than Paul Thompson he is. -a local newspaper writer(who by the way the entire oklahoma media HATES) compared him to John Elway AND everyone's favorite Green Bay QB. -and last but not least last season my friend on the softball team overheard Bomar in the weight room saying that(and then it's been verified by several people that know him) he's better than Jason White. He then went on to say that Jason White stole his job and that if he had played that OU would've beaten USC. HAHAHA. And that's another thing. Paul Thompson didn't even get a fucking chance at QB. Yeah Thompson royally screwed up in the TCU game but Bomar has fucked up worse since then and he just keeps trudging along. If he was turning in these performances anywhere else in the country he'd be on the bench. Stoops is mad or something.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2005 And PSU goes ahead 14-3. My best friend Chris has always had a hard on for PSU for some reason so he's loving this. Oh and what's all this talk about the margin of victory today in the RRS matching the largest ever? Maybe for Texas. They won by 33 points. OU's won 50-0 before. And in 2003 it was like 65-13....so what the hell is that all about?

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 9, 2005 This Cal/UCLA game is fun as shit. It's 40-35 Cal right now, UCLA making a big comeback. Bored 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2005 I picked Cal but it is always a good day when they lose. Hell even Stanford won today. This was an fun, fun day of football. The aftermath of the Minnesota/Michigan game is what makes college football great with all the Minnesota players charging the Michigan sideline to get the Little Brown Jug. You never can get that kind of moment in the pro game.
