Vyce 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 SJ's right, this movie's pretty decent. Not great, but not bad. Definitely a good popcorn flick. Oh, and for those who maybe aren't sure whether this is true or not, yes - about 2/3rds through the film, the Rock does go full heel. . I saw it at matinee and was not disappointed. Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 That was seriously the worst movie I've seen this year and is one of the worst movies I've seen in awhile. If I wasn't outnumbered by the majority that was my friends who were creaming their pants to see this pile of shit, I would never even attempted to bother. Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 No way, I've seen worse. It was nowhere near a BAD movie, just a mindless action flick with not as much gore asyoud expect
Vyce 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2005 It's nowhere NEAR the worst movie of the year. Hell, it's nowhere near even the worst movie of this MONTH. Again, I have to ask, what the fuck were you expecting? Because if you expected it'd be anything more than The Rock and others killing monsters with really large guns, than perhaps you should have refrained from watching the film. Going now.

Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 what the fuck were you expecting? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A heaping pile of crap and it succeeded. Oh come fucking on. Anybody who saw the previews for this shit knew it was gonna be a mindless action movie and of course people's expectations were gonna be low for it. They could have pulled it off well with some cool action and they couldn't even get that right. My expectations were really low and the movie ended up being LOWER than that. This whole "your expectation were too high" thing is such a cop out excuse. I enjoyed both Resident Evil movies for christ's sake but this movie was absolute crap. iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it was a better role fitted for a wrestler...it's 1 hour and 45 minutes of total ass-kicking. There isn't much character development or stuff like that, and the focus is pretty much on balls to the walls action. I thought Rock did a good job, and I looked at him as an actor in this movie, rather than a wrestler. I also thought him turning bad still kept it fresh for future roles he'll take if he is just the straight up bad guy in a movie. It's definately worth seeing, and was better than Be Cool. Since it's #1 in the country, it was a smart move to delay the movie to the fall instead of have it debut in the summer because it never would of gotten a fair start in the box office. The Niggardly King 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 One dude talked about banging sheboys. Another guy cut himself whenever he used the lord's name in vain. Some black guy showed no emotion, and said only a few words at a time, he was also scared by a monkey. The other black guy stated the obvious every chance he got. Great movie.
