To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, click Web Help. I got that when trying to play a video file, so I naturally searched for the needed codec to download. The problem is that every codec that is meant to fix this problem, such as MPEG Layer-3 Codec, doesn't actually fix the problem. I've tried every codec that came up that was said to be what I needed, but none of them work and I still have no sound on the file I am trying to play. I saw a suggestion that involved renaming a particular file, and the running and update to get a new version of said file, but that didn't work either. What else is there to try?
