NFL Week 8

In Cowher's defense, the Steelers, for like the last 30 years, 15 of which belong to Cowher, have had *the* best of the best when it comes to linebacker corps. I don't think there's ever been a team that has had as many *great* asskickers as the Steelers have had since Cowher took over the team from Coach Chuck. Cowher's got an eye for defensive talent but is like the Bizarro version of Mike Martz and just shits the bed on offense when it really counts.

Seriously, the Steelers and Tampa Bay have had some of the best LB corps to step onto a field over the past decade. As a Raiders fan, that's sickening to me.

I also agree with most of shitdick VX's predictions even though his beloved Fudge Packers suck worse than the Raiders do right now so I'll take solace in that (like I've got anything else to do that with what with Kegger Collins at QB...).

Of course I talk up the Steeler secondary, and they come out blowing coverages left and right. The announcers were wrong on that last play, though; Mason wasn't open, Pola was baiting Wright to throw it to him. You could see him break on the receiver at the last moment, and he's got enough of a vertical leap that he probably would've pick sixed it.

VERY pedestrian first half for the Steeler O-side. Parker can run, but the Raven pass rush is abusing the right side of the Steeler line and Ben is just plain off. D is bottling up the run just fine, though, and if they get more pressure on Wright, they'll be fine. He withers under the rush and Hampton is murdering their center enough to be a severe cause for concern for Raven fans.

Don't hate, appreciate.

Fact that the Ravens are still in this game with 12 minutes to go in the 4th is very surprising.

The question is will they be able to take this drive into the end zone for the lead or goof up and turn the ball over like they have been doing this year.

Okay, so is Pittsburgh's offense that bad or is Baltimore's defense that good?

All that despite the fact that Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are both out for the Ravens.

Hell of a defensive battle. Who says there aren't any real rivalry games in the NFL?

Matt Stover gets this game's MVP definitely. Ravens up 19-17!

Pittsburgh back up 20-19 with only 1:36 left in the game. Anthony Wright needs to prove he's got "the stuff" now.
