The confirmation comes straight from Take-Two's Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Gets Delayed 'til 2006 Nov 1, 2005 @ 5:12pm Summary: Looks like Take-Two has its work cut out for it this holiday.investor conference call and revised financial update. Yesterday, the publisher confirmed that Bethesda's next-gen RPG wouldn't make the Xbox 2005 launch, and that the developer needed more time to fine-tune the game. This should come as great news to series fans, as the last playable build of the game suffered from major performance problems. With a little luck, the extra time will give the developers a chance to iron out the frame rate problems, which will ultimately result in a better game. I'm dying to get Oblivion, it's my most anticipated game right now...and that's why i like this. now I know it's gonna be 100% polished and the best it can be. I also don't have to get an xbox 360 till february now, which will save me no end of frustration/running around on the 22nd, and allow me to pick up cheaper preowned versions of launch games when I do finally get my 360 (Plus have a bigger selection in general) I'm sure Microsoft is a bit unhappy about this, as I know plenty of people who want the 360 for Oblivion, and in general was shaping up to be far and away their best launch title (Specifically in showing the graphical prowess of the 360, no other game really comes closer at this stage) This is good news, to me at least Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2005 I'm pissed. It and Gun were my two must buys at launch since Saint's Row isn't going to make launch. I guess as long as the product they put out is as clean and bug free as they can get it, I can live with it. Now I've just got to find another launch title. Guessing either PDZ or Kameo.
