Today is the day we remember the fallen. Did anyone do anything for it? I spent some time with my grandparents (My grandfather was a Tank Commander, and my grandmother worked in the shipyards), and then I went to The ceremonys in Vancouver.

I found out that another of my friends is joining the Marines. Just 2 weeks ago, I found out that a good friend signed up for the Army.

I've been recruited by every branch of the military and saw how much lying and bullshit goes into just getting recruits. I'm sure some military personnel are fine people, but the ones I have encountered have turned me off to the whole process, so fuck that.

I just hope thatmy friends don't die for a worthless cause... so far, none of my other dozen or so friends in the military have, luckily.

Answer: Remain citizen, let others fight for shit I don't care about.

Don't get me wrong- If that's what they desire, I can respect that, but you'd never catch me in the military. The one and only reason I ever considered joining was for college money, and the crooked ass recruiters encouraged me to falsify information so I could get in. I wasn't about to trust most of the "good things" they told me about the military life.

But seriously, this is getting way off topic, so yeah.

My buddy Diaz was a total fucking tool, and the Navy made a man out of him. It'd be the best thing for Matt, really.

Similarly, a friend of mine had major head-issues, had dropped out of college, and was obsessing over a 17 year-old chubby girl who had dumped him. He joined the Navy, and now he's learning to pilot nuclear subs. The military, they can be uplift party people when they need to.
