Guest Report post Posted November 20, 2005 It was entertaining and I thought that USC probably should have lost.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 USC and Fresno St. are tied up at 7 in the 1st. Georgia Tech is leading Miami by 4 with about 3 minutes left and Miami is about to get the ball back. HOLY FUCK that was a punt... Miami's returner picked it up on the 2 and was knocked out at the 12. Miami has to go 88 yards for the win within 2:37.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 Update: Miami has moved the ball deep into GT territory with 1:46 left. *crosses fingers and hopes for a turnover*

teke184 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 Wow. What does that mean for the ACC title picture? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it means that V-Tech is in a position to go to the ACC title game. If they beat North Carolina in their last game, they win their divsion.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 Now that this is over...Fresno State is about to take the lead over USC early in the second. I know we've seen this before, but Fresno State is talented enough that they could take USC to the last play.

Guest *KNK* Report post Posted November 20, 2005 If USC loses, Who takes USC's spot? Penn State?
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 I don't think USC drops enough to fall to third. It would probably get Fresno State into a BCS bowl, though, pissing off a whole bunch of people.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 BCS Bowl Bid update- ACC: Winner of Florida State vs. Virginia Tech (Most likely V-Tech) Big East: West Virginia (projected) Big Ten: Penn State (clinched) Big Twelve: Winner of Texas vs. Iowa State or Colorado (Most likely Texas) Pac Ten: USC (projected) SEC: Winner of Georgia vs. LSU or Auburn (Most likely LSU, IMHO) Possible At Large bid teams: Notre Dame, Ohio State, Miami, Auburn, Oregon
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 I'd say LSU, aside from the loss to UT, they have looked very good this season.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 If USC loses, Who takes USC's spot? Penn State? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Texas moves to the #1 spot in the BCS and polls. LSU and Penn State likely move to the 2 and 3 spots in the poll (LSU stays ahead of Penn based on previous prescident on voting) The remaining team in the Rose Bowl is completely up in the air, as it would depend on the breakdown of the poll voting and the computers. Considering that the computers hate LSU, it works in Penn State's favor.

teke184 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 Fresno State and Notre Dame will be the likely at-large BCS teams if this upset goes down. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does Fresno just have to bust the Top 12 of the BCS to guarantee a bid?
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 No, only a top-6 guarantees a bid. I just looked it up; I thought top 12 guaranteed it as well. They could be awfully close to the top-6 though. If they beat USC, they're going to shoot up the polls, and probably the computers.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 Huge review here on the potential fumble.

If they beat USC, they're going to shoot up the polls, and probably the computers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The current BCS has them at 17, which is based on a miniscule computer rating (.080 of Texas' total) and two middling poll ratings (16th in each, .350 and .359 of max votes). A move to about 10th in the polls would boost their two poll totals to about .600 each. Their computer rankings would be the biggest move, as they've got about squat there right now. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 I can't see how they can call this a fumble. They blew the play dead before the Bulldog player picked the ball up. I think the only thing they can review is whether it was an incompletion. And now they were never looking at it in the first place.
