LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2005 So is Booker going to sweep Benoit or something??? I hope not, but now Benoit basically has to win 4 in a row.
Astro7x 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) Hasn't Benoit re-upped w/ the WWE already? I don't think so. Word on the street is that Benoit's contract isn't quite up yet though it is coming up soon. I gather that Benoit will come back and take the series to 7 matches. By having Booker be up at 3 victories it'll give their upcoming PPV match a little more juice by just giving everyone that tiny bit of doubt that the series might just end. If they go into the next PPV with the series tied at 2 to 2 then there's no possibility of the match ending and therefore the match has a little less appeal to it even if most people suspect the series will go 7 matches anyway. Yeah, this keeps it atleast a little interesting. While in the original Best of 7 series you knew it would go to 7 matches. Atleast now there is the chance that it could end any week, and the possiblity of Booker sweeping at the PPV. Even if it ended 4-2 that would be different and interesting Edited December 6, 2005 by Astro7x
Guest New Jake Report post Posted December 7, 2005 Some other notes I got from another board's spoilers: -Somebody debuted for MNM and helped them beatdown the Mexicools. He was never named, and the guy watching didn't knwo who he was, but probably an OVW cruiserweight. It was just Kid Kash, nobody news from developmental or anything. The Undertaker sounds like he is continuing his pattern of ruining any young talent that he steps in the ring with. No one is getting a rub, Randy Orton is just getting ruinied having to look like a total fool selling his fear of the Undertakers low rent special effects. All ads to Orton's uncredibility if you ask me. The only way this PPV can possibly be good is if Taker goes over Orton in total squash fasion. It's the only way, it's obvious the fans aren't interested in seeing Takers 3rd significant job in a year to a greenhorn with nothing to show for it. If this is another pathetic push for Orton then I can see this match falling under the "boring" degree like all the HIAC's we have seen since 2002. Other than the 3.1 SD! got for the Eddie Tribute, I think that's the best rating SD! has had since the move to friday nights. Which really isn't saying much. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2005 Well, I think it means that friday night wasn't the complete death slot for SD! that a lot of people were predicting. It seems evident that SD! has retained the majority of its thursday audience, with ratings pretty consistant or slightly rising even since debuting.
Guest Chrisly_2005 Report post Posted December 8, 2005 You know, a face going down 0-3 or 0-2 in a best of series isn't that un-common. How many best of 7 programs have we exactly seen in wrestling? Going down 0-2 in a best of seven series seems pretty normal for a face, I'll grant you that. But as far as going down 0-3, let me say this: No NBA team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit in the playoffs; that should tell you about Benoit's chances, here. If Benoit comes back to win the series, it would show what a huge choker Booker T is, and I don't necessarily see that happening; if Benoit wins the series, then he'll look VERY, VERY strong, and I don't have faith in WWE that he'll be made to look that good again. We'll see. Since wrestling isnt scripted or anything...
Guest clockworkraven Report post Posted December 9, 2005 Just a note: JBL doesn't leave after hurting his foot. He backs away from Mysterio, 'trips' over Jillian and clutches his knee.
Guest Ransome Report post Posted December 9, 2005 I flicked over to SD about 40 minutes in, and saw the shot of Randy Orton 'imagining' Bob Orton's face to be covered with blood. It's difficult enough to suspend belief that a camera just happened to be in the locker room filming private conversations between wrestlers, but having the camera actually 'broadcast' a wrestlers thoughts is too ridiculous to watch. I promptly flicked back away. WWE need to get out of this Hollywood mentality.

Needless to say it was enough to make me switch to another channel. I can't believe I actually witnessed it. I was hoping it would be a horrible, HORRIBLE dream.
