I've never interacted with the guy really, but I do notice when he posts, so I wanted to at least say, "Happy birthday." I had no idea you were 37 though, man... Here is an excerpt: ~Rendclaw~ Rendclaw To-Vensre Heart Name: Darkstalker Tail Name: Skybrother Rendclaw Darkstalker Mela'an Cu'nre (Sky Brother) To-Vensre was born on the world of Mamard, a wondrous world of equal parts of magic and high technology. He enlisted in the Space Defense Forces at the age of 17 as a fighter pilot, where he served for 11 years with distinction. He then was recruited by PAWS International, a multi-national peacekeeping force to fly experimental, cutting edge spacecraft. While test-flying a fighter outfitted with an experimental FTL drive, he was attacked by agents from OMEGA, an enemy organization whose goal was the domination of Mamard and its allies throught the galaxy. Facing five-to-one odds, Ren shot down two enemy fighters before his craft was damaged by enemy fire. Faced with capture, torture and certain death at the hands of the enemy, Ren engaged the FTL drive without plotting a proper course. Through sheer luck, the fighter did not encounter any gravity wells or solid objects, and emerged safely in the Sol system. Nursing the severely damaged craft, he was exposed to a combination of radiations that would later alter his blood chemistry and grant him strange and wonderful powers. Even so, he barely made it to a backwater little planet called Earth, a fractious, multi-national world that was not deemed ready for first contact for at least another 150 years. He crash-landed somewhere in the Florida Everglades, and after making sure that the craft would never be found, he used his shapechanging power to assimilate himself into the populace. He spent ten years on Earth before he was rescued, but not before he found that the humans who inhabit this world were not so different that the anthropomorphic beings that called Mamard home, just less advanced technolgically. His point of view regarding humans changed, although it still confounds him to this day the arrogance most beings of his homeworld have toward these "hairless monkeys". When he returned, his commander Guardsmith Salgos gave him his own Vehicle by the name of Caroline; an FTL spacecraft complete with its own AI personality (A sultry British voice ala Elizabeth Hurley or Nici Sterling, who is very lady-like but with a flirtatious, devil-may-care streak), which configures between a Terran automobile (midnight black 1994 Acura NSX) and a highly advanced, warp-capable starship. He served his government with distinction and has since retired. He now journeys the stars and worlds, looking for friends, lovers, and that special someone to capture his heart.... Mun's Note: Rendclaw is a roleplaying character that I have developed over the past 10 years...His origins began in the Marvel Super Heroes RPG, and got a rather massive power upgrade when the mun and his roommate got heavily involved with Dragon Ball Z (before it became big in the US, mind you). He also got a share of his powers and abilities from characters in Video World, a dimension that indirectly corellated to what people saw in video games (with heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Tanglemane, my friend of now ten years, and one of the best RPers and GMs I have ever met). Ren represents the ideals that I hold dear and also he is whom I aspire to be: Confident, maybe even a little cocky... comfortable with who and what he is, and faces the day head-on and with a smile on his face... living, loving and fighting with everything he has; mind, heart, body, and soul.
