Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 That was why I was hoping FSU would play in Boise. Damn VT. USC/Miami in 10 degree weather, and 10 inches of snow = cash money. Miami's players would probably mistake the snow for coke and start trying to snort the field.
Guest Leelee Report post Posted December 13, 2005 Hehehe... I love "The U". The best were when the Dolphins and their faggy little teal uniforms would come in the snow. And Marino would whine like a bitch. And Bryan Cox would be Bryan Cox. Memories...
Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2005 What I really wish would have happened with the bowl games is for Miami to have won the ACC, then have Penn State vs. Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl and a good ole' Notre Dame vs. Miami, "Catholics vs. Convicts" game in the Orange Bowl. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 No OU lineman or linebackers? That's the best part of our team! Man Peterson would be on there if they hadn't killed him.
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 No USC OL guys? Talk about fucked up... Paul Posluszny is also going to be the real deal after he puts on some "NFL weight" and I wouldn't have any qualms with the Raiders picking him up over AJ Hawk (whose name is badass). Guest Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Not on the first team, but Lutui is on the second team and Baker is on the 3rd team. Baker should have been a 1st or 2nd teamer.
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Lutui should have been on the 1st team. Any team that picks him up in the draft will not regret it.
Guest Report post Posted December 14, 2005 He's one big ass dude.
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 He's a guy the Packers or Texans should fight tooth and nail to pick up. If I can quote Mark Henry: "Too big, too bad, too mean!" Lutui's 6 fuckin 6 and nearly 370 pounds. He's also got a good reach unlike Oak town Raider Robery "T-Rex Arms" Gallery who just hasn't panned out well with the Raiders. Lutui's also got good stamina for a guy his size, which *really* helps out. Reggie Bush owes part of his Heisman to Lutui and the other big fucks up front because without them, he ain't gonna go nowhere.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 So does anyone think Leinart should've been first team All-American over Young? Apparently it was a topic on Cold Pizza and Skip Bayliss wasn't happy about it.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 No. Leinart's been a bit more erratic than Young.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 No. Both are incredible players, but Young is a more important QB than Leinart is, if that makes sense. Same reason he (rightly) was ahead of him in the Heisman voting. Texas lived or died out of the QB position this year; Young's ability as a dual-threat makes him first-team worthy, especially as he evolved to the point that passing was his best weapon and running truly a threat, allowing him to open his passing game vastly. If you have a team with as many standout skill players as USC, I'd take Leinart. If you're in a situation like Texas, you want as much talent and damage potential as possible to go through the QB position. Very interesting situation with both teams; I don't think Texas would be as good as they are with Leinart, nor do I think USC would be as good with Young. They both suit their surroundings exceptionally well.
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 I could see a team like Detroit trying to move up to get Leinart or Green Bay trading Ahman Green trying to do it. That's about it. The Lions already drafted a highly regarded Pac 10 QB a little while ago, and he was promptly ruined by the total lack of direction of the Lions organization. What would Leinart do to warrant this punishment? Detroit is the city where QB's careers go to die.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 Box... I was just checking, and since 2000. The Lions have used seven first round picks on offensive players. You'd have to think they'd look at the defensive side of the ball.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 Their defensive line is pretty damn good - Sporting News had it rated as the best in the league going into this season. Their linebackers are young beasts. Secondary isn't anything to worry about, but it can sway either way from game to game. Adding veterans to the pack may be the solution to that. If you want problematic areas, look towards their offensive line - it's just ass on the corners. They certainly don't need another quarterback, since they have Orlovsky in the wings when Garcia fails.

I don't think you use a first or second round pick on a QB, but I wouldn't go so far as to name Orlovsky the heir apparent. I think the Lions should seriously look at signing or trading for a veteran QB. Like Jon Kitna. Make him the starter next year, with Orlovsky backing him up. You can always use help in terms of depth. Maybe they go the free agent route, but given Dan Wilkinson's age. The Oregon DT, Ngoti? might not be a bad choice for Detroit. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 Leinart sucks. I'm praying to god that the Jets don't take him. Honestly, if I were to list the top NFL prospects on the USC offense, Leinart wouldn't crack the Top 5.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 Jason White was on the radio this morning defending Leinart to the NFL scouts saying that he's really good and blah blah blah. Seriously when did these two start going out? They talked on the phone last year, hung out at the Heisman ceremony together, shared a warm embrace at the Heisman ceremony last year, and then this year apparently White bought Leinart dinner while they were in NYC. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 I don't like the fact a coach can up and leave, but a school reguardless of performance can't just fire a coach without having to buyout his contract. So be it. Dirk Koetter's hardly been a world beater at ASU. I'm not convinced Dan Hawkins is going to turn Colorado around.
nogoodnick 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2005 Dan Hawkins has done quite a lot with very little talent at BSU. If he can pull some decent recruits Colorado should win at least 7 games every year.
