Guest jackie fargo Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 2005 was probably the best in recent memory- the Main-event build was as good as any fued the WWE has built in the last 5 years or so.. Add that with the first time Hogan/Micheals squared off and you have a solid PPV.. the Early SS's were really good to-1988-1992
ChrisMWaters Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Even though there have been plenty of great matches from Summerslams, I don't know that I'd buy a Summerslam boxset (a la WM). There's just too many filler matches and not enough of the classic moments of past Wrestlemanias. I'd much rather buy a (say) 5-disc compilation of SummerSlam's greatest matches and moments that would eliminate the crap. Well, for the filler match argument, what about the earlier manias? Let's see...Bundy/SD from 1, Jake/Wells from 2, the midgets and big guys from III. Those are just SOME examples.
algrim Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 (edited) The Summerslams I've enjoyed the most are 92,94,97,98,00,01,02 and 05. I hated the 95 and 96 versions because of the ME's and not the other matches. The one I don't remember that well is the 91 version. Edited December 13, 2005 by algrim
