World's Worst Man 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2005 Courtesy of Da Meltz "Kazuyuki Fujita sent word to New Japan that he was pulling out of his main event match against IWGP champion Brock Lesnar on 1/4 at the Tokyo Dome. The word came suddenly to New Japan. Riki Choshu, before today's show in Osaka, announced Lesnar vs. Shinsuke Nakamura as the main event of the show. In Japan, there appeared to be no concern whatsoever with WWE legal actions potentially blocking any of Lesnar's matches." Can't say I'm not pleased. This should end up being quite a bit better than the original match. I can't wait to see it, and I expect big things if Lesnar has shaken off the ring rust. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2005 I had very little interest in Lesnar/Fujita, while Nakamura was one of the opponents i was most looking forward to seeing Brock face in NJPW so this is an improvement. Lesnar dominating Nakamura, Shinsuke making several flash comebacks before eventually getting killed by Brock sounds good to me. A 'fun' match at the very least, potentially very good if Lesnar isn't too rusty still.
Guest Euronymous Report post Posted December 10, 2005 A big improvement, if you ask me. I had no real interest in seeing Lesnar/Fujita, but Lesnar/Nakamura could be a lot of fun. I guess it all depends whether Lesnar's in good wrestling condition by then. I wonder what'll happen, though. If Lesnar is able to sign a full-time contract with New Japan, he'll probably reign a long time. Lesnar beats Nakamura at the Tokyo Dome, then what happens at the G1? Will Nakamura win it and face him again? Personally, I think that would be too soon for a rematch; especially if Nakamura wins that match. I'm hoping Tanahashi will establish himself by then and win the G1 instead, but I doubt it.
