Interesting that neither Pete Alexander nor Christy Mathewson popped up on your list, but Sandy Koufax did. I'm guessing you put more weight on more modern run environments when considering this ranking?

Haha, it would help if I would RTFA, wouldn't it?

 

We leave dead-ball eras pitchers out of the discussion for the time being. Pitchers prior to 1920 pitched in conditions enormously more favorable to pitchers than today.

 

Never mind that then.
