gWIL 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 I will be fantasy booking Smackdown in this thread. It'll start with this week's show. Give me toughts on booking and format if you like. WWE Smackdown News and Recaps: Dec. 16-17 The Dec. 16 Smackdown was the last before PPV Armageddon. The show was above average and morale in the locker room seems to have improved, with the addition of a new head writer whose name is not known at this time. Dec. 16 Smackdown Brian Kendrick vs Paul London vs Nunzio vs Kid Kash opened in an elimination match, with the winner receiving a Cruiserweight title shot at Armageddon. Order of elimination was Nunzio, Kendrick, London. London missed a Shooting Star Press and was then pinned by Kash. Match went 15 minutes and was split between two commercial breaks. 8 Man Tag main event advertised. Ken Kennedy’s new segment “The Ken Kennedy Show” debuted. It was a pretaped segment that featured Kennedy giving Armageddon match predictions in his trademark style. He will have a special live version with guest The Boogeyman at Armageddon. Segment went about 5 minutes. Bobby Lashley then defeated an enhancement talent in about 30 seconds after hitting the Dominator and then locking the man in a rear naked choke until the man passed out causing the ref to stop the bout. Lashley called himself “unstoppable” and vowed to be World Champion by the end of 2006. Josh Matthews interviewed Randy Orton. Orton said that last week he faced death in the eyes and he is not afraid of it. He then told his Dad that he was going to win tonight by himself and Sunday by himself. Interview was only a couple minutes long. Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury, and Sylvan Grenier vs Mexicools ended with Crazy pinning Nitro after a Crazysault. Match went 7 minutes and was used to hype Mexicools vs MNM at Armageddon. JBL was backstage with Teddy Long and he asked for spot #30 in the Royal Rumble so he could win that, main event Wrestlemania 22, win the World Championship and have order restored to the universe. Long stated that Smackdown did in fact control spot #30 in the Rumble and that JBL should have it, if he can beat Lashley at Armageddon. Orlando Jordan then walked in and had a staredown with JBL. Orlando asked for a match at Armageddon so he could prove to the world that he is a legitimate threat to anyone on the roster. Long said that if he could beat Sly at Armageddon he could have a shot at the United States Championship when the best of 7 ends. Segment turned Orlando face. Armageddon card rundown: Hell in a Cell Randy Orton vs Undertaker Raw vs Smackdown Rey Mysterio and Batista vs Kane and Big Show Spot #30 in the Royal Rumble Bobby Lashley vs JBL Match #4 Chris Benoit vs Booker T Tag Team Championship MNM vs The Mexicools Cruiserweight Championship Kid Kash vs Juvi The Boogeyman on the “Ken Kennedy Show” Orlando Jordan vs Sylvan Grenier And by order of Teddy Long: 10-Man Tag Challenge Matt Hardy, LOD 2K5, Paul London, Brian Kendrick vs William Regal, Paul Burchill, Nunzio, Vito, Simon Dean Team Batista (Batista, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, and Orlando Jordan) vs Team Orton (Randy Orton, John "Bradshaw" Layfield, William Regal, and Paul Burchill) went 45 minutes, taking up the entire second hour. Good match, crowd stayed hot throughout. Ended when Orton pinned Batista after Big Show interfered. As Orton was celebrating the Undertaker came up and they got in a fist fight to end the show. Dec. 17 Online Velocity Paul London and Brian Kendrick went to a 15 minute draw. Orlando Jordan stated that he would knockout Sly. Videos played highlighted Smackdown and tommorow’s PPV. Lashley vs Jobber was shown in it’s entirety. Regal and Burchill defeated LOD2K5 at the 10 minute mark after Animal tapped out to a Burchill armbar. News Velocity and Heat will no longer be live on the net before a PPV. They will be separate from a special live preshow. This is being done to increase online advertising. Orlando Jordan is being the gimmick of a boxer, where if he connects with a series of punches the match is over. There is talk of giving him a mouth piece. Kennedy will tape segments to appear every other week or so, in order to prevent the fans from forgetting about him. He will make live appearances at the Pay Per Views. Lashley is penciled in to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 22.
