Guest Duke_The_Dog Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Micheal Hayes did almost word for word, the promo that was planned for Flair last week. The "you kids get days off" line was written in due to many wrestlers complaining about the travel. The boys are all weaning themselves off the roids, however some have prescriptions for roids and still aren't sure whether that is punishable or not. No tests have been done and no guideline has been set. From Aug - Oct of 05 the WWE grossed 12 million dollars Vince McMahon increased his yearly dividend from 24 million up to 47 million dollars. During the conference call, they made sure some stockholders couldn't ask any questions - the WWE knows generally whose gonna ask the tough ???? and try to avoid them HHH has a movie on tap, assuming Kane's and Cena's movies don't bomb - Afer HHH there's a plan for a Kurt Angle/Big Show buddy comedy. The WWE also wants to do made for TV movies One Night Stand buyrate is up to 330,000 now....Vengence with HHH/Batista HIAC did 472,000 Each PPV isgiven a 2 million dollar budget by the WWE, and they only need 154,000 buys to break even Jamal was half of the All Japan tag champs when he resigned in WWE. He quit Japan abruptly and did not job the belt. Konnan is booking a Eddy Memorial card in Mexico. It is believed that WWE will let Beniot, Rey, Chavo, Psicosis and Crazy work it CMLL wants Lesner to defend his IWGP belt in a one shot A week or 2 after saying he was finished with Pro wrestling, Antonio Inoki stated he would start a group up if he had $$$ backers Chris jericho lost his mother shortly after losing Eddy, and he has canceled Fozzy's remaining 2005 tour Tommy Dreamer lost his mom recently as well WWE is grossing a mere 14,000 average on house shows, making TNA's thinking of doing some seem pointless, since they won't make money Beth Flair (Ric's soon to be Ex) spent 65,000 last year on clothes and 50,000 on Xmas Ric Flair hasn't been paid since April, since the IRS is taking his wages Beth said Flair used to expose himself in front of her friends To keep him under wraps, Paul Heyman has been offered a new deal He is making 250,000 a year now March will be the 1st SNME - with WM build Eugene lost his hotel room key when he OD'd weeks ago, had he found it quicker, no trouble would have occured Dave Meltzer's Raw is Night Court recap was hilarious IMO. Read it if you can find it. Bret Hart in a recent interview RE: Shawn Micheals : "That's one Christian who should be fed to the lions" Ricky Steamboat ref'd a recent house show and chopped Bob Orton jr Dr Death/ Carlito and Arn Anddeson/Coach segments were on recent house shows as well. Slickster 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 This is the most informative post I've read in months. Now we know the magic # for PPV profit....and it's pretty goddamn low. Basically, no matter what, they can make profit on a PPV.
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 During the conference call, they made sure some stockholders couldn't ask any questions - the WWE knows generally whose gonna ask the tough ???? and try to avoid them Does this come as a shock to anyone?? Thought so. HHH has a movie on tap, assuming Kane's and Cena's movies don't bomb - Afer HHH there's a plan for a Kurt Angle/Big Show buddy comedy. Replace Angle with Tom Selleck and I'm game for the movie. Those two were great on the late show. Chris jericho lost his mother shortly after losing Eddy, and he has canceled Fozzy's remaining 2005 tour Tommy Dreamer lost his mom recently as well Damn that sucks. My heart goes out to both guys. Beth said Flair used to expose himself in front of her friends

Basically, no matter what, they can make profit on a PPV. We've known that practically forever. I think they break even at 40k or something though but don't quote me on that. $150kish on clothes and presents or $96k for a new engagement ring... I must admit I give it to Beth for being wiser with their money.

Beast 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 I want to see a Big Show buddy comedy, but not with Angle. I like the Selleck idea though. I'd rather see him paired with some normal actor dude (Jack Black maybe?) and have them be roomies that have regular jobs and just hang out.
Si82 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2005 Vince McMahon increased his yearly dividend from 24 million up to 47 million dollars. Yeah, go on Vince you deserve it. During the conference call, they made sure some stockholders couldn't ask any questions - the WWE knows generally whose gonna ask the tough ???? and try to avoid them Typical WWE. They make bad decisions but never both to explain them. I'm just glad that they're are some investers who at least try to question them on the decisions they make. HHH has a movie on tap, assuming Kane's and Cena's movies don't bomb - Afer HHH there's a plan for a Kurt Angle/Big Show buddy comedy. The WWE also wants to do made for TV movies. They will bomb and an Angle/Show buddy comedy sounds about as funny as an S.T.I. Each PPV isgiven a 2 million dollar budget by the WWE, and they only need 154,000 buys to break even/ All those terrible buyrates and they still make a profit. No wonder JBL was champion for close to a year. To keep him under wraps, Paul Heyman has been offered a new deal He is making 250,000 a year now. Heyman should demand a spot on the writing team or tell them to fuck off. I mean, WWE doesn't want the guy going elsewhere (TNA) so he should at least try and if not just leave. I doubt he'll have trouble finding work elsewhere.

Guest Ransome Report post Posted December 14, 2005 One Night Stand buyrate is up to 330,000 now....Vengence with HHH/Batista HIAC did 472,000 Is this the highest buyrate for any single brand pay-per-view they've ever done? Heck, it's approaching the buys of Wrestlemania 19. I didn't think the card was *that* enticing on paper, but I guess their last-minute panic (particularly rushing Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels) added a lot of buys. Guest Fook Report post Posted December 14, 2005 To keep him under wraps, Paul Heyman has been offered a new deal He is making 250,000 a year now This is like when WCW would sign guys to outrageous contracts and then never use them. Beth said Flair used to expose himself in front of her friends I'm not surprised by this whatsoever. From Aug - Oct of 05 the WWE grossed 12 million dollars Works out to 48 million/year... Vince McMahon increased his yearly dividend from 24 million up to 47 million dollars. ...and of that 48 million, Vince is giving himself half. Like he needs it. Not that a road agent isn't an important job, but let's look at all the other things they could do with the Dragon (who, by the way, they have on their payroll): -release a DVD -put him in video games and, even crazier... -give him an on-air role ...because, as you probably know, they have him on the payroll. Well we are talking about the company that during Steamboat's last run acted as if he was a new wrestler never bringing up his IC title run, his feud with Savage or they WM 3 match. And to top it off Flair was in the company at the time and they didn't have them feud with each other or have ONE stinking match. Or bring up their history. They wouldn't have to say were it started just that they've met in the past.
Guest King TelFie Report post Posted December 16, 2005 How about Ricky Steamboat for GM? I wouldn't mind it, even though he never was the most charismatic guy on the roster. Beth Flair (Ric's soon to be Ex) spent 65,000 last year on clothes and 50,000 on Xmas Ric is better off without a woman who spends all his hard earned money, who then decides to leave him.
