Guest Boobie Report post Posted December 27, 2005 Wasn't there a wrestling event in the late 70s/early 80s that got rained out? Either it was NWA or AWA. The Nissan Pavillion got rained out here in MD, they did 3 undercard matches, and then they had Undertaker v.s. ??? and lightning hit the lighting rig above the ring. We all thought it was a work at first cause Taker was taking a beating, then the ref through up the "X" sign and Chad Patton thanked everyone for coming out, and that our tickets would be valid for the next time they were in town. Still have not come back this way though. I think they should go to Houstan and play on their field, they have a retractable dome incase of rain. The King dome would be good too... The Seattle Kingdome (if that's what you were referring to) no longer exists - it was imploded a couple of years ago, I think. Was replaced by Safeco Field, home of WM XIX . . . to me, that was one of the coolest venues that a WM has been held in . . .
