KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) Here it is. Tweaking is welcomed. We zip backstage to the office of GM Calvin Szechstein where said GM sits with a very agitated look on his face. We see that the room has been very and thoroughly trashed; chairs are toppled over and a trash can sits on its side, contents strewn all over the floor. The only thing that seems to be still standing is a TV and VCR which are sitting on a wheeled metal shelf. We hear the door open and Calvin flinches a bit at the sound, but relaxes a bit as Stephen Joseph enters. Joseph briefly looks around at the mess before turning a chair upright and taking a seat. Calvin simply folds his arms and listens as Joseph begins. JOSEPH Redecorating? (Chuckles) No, seriously, I got your message to meet you here and I know what you want to talk about: there aren't any more worthy challengers for me to defend my title against, are there? I mean, you scraped the bottom of the barrel with Knight for Climax and, as you can see, the belt didn't go anywhere. (He reaches into his pocket) I happen to have a list here of some ideas that you...... Joseph stops as he sees Calvin pick up a remote control and point it toward the VCR. He presses a button and the screen flickers to life: The scene seems to be the backstage area of an arena, and the angle shows that the camera is following a figure as he walks through the hall. The head turns, revealing it to be of interviewer Josh Matthews, who is holding a microphone with the Climax logo on it. J-MATH Everything working okay, Tony? TONY THE CAMERAMAN Looks good to me, Josh. I think I'm going to shut down until we're ready with him. JOSH (turning a corner) Ok......holy shit! Josh suddenly freezes and bolts back around the corner, peeking back around at whatever startled him and then looking back, a look of disbelief on his face. He frantically waves his hand at the camera. TONY What is it? What's going on? JOSH Come here. But don't let them see you. Tony slowly puts the camera around the corner and we see two figures talking. Tony zooms in a bit and we see that the two figures are Stephen Joseph.......and Axel. They seem to be chatting calmly, not exactly something two guys that hate each other's guts normally do. TONY What are they talking about? Go see. JOSH Are you insane!? I'm not going over there now! We see Joseph making a motion like someone swinging a chair and Axel nods. Stephen extends his hand and Axel looks at it, pausing for a few seconds before accepting it. Stephen slaps him on the shoulder before walking off, away from the cameraman and Josh. Axel watches him walk off and disappear around a corner before stepping back into his dressing room. JOSH Ok, that's enough, let's get out of here. You get all that on tape? TONY Oh yeah. Calvin's going to want to see this. The screen turns to static and we return to Calvin's office. Calvin simply shuts the television off and puts down the remote before looking over to Stephen, who is flabbergasted. JOSEPH I.....I mean...I....I can......I can explain. It.....it......was all Axel's idea. Yeah, that's right. He didn't want Knight to win the title before he did, I SWEAR. I told him Knight wouldn't, but then he just snapped at Climax... Really, the guy has lost it.... CALVIN Stuff it. I should strip you of that damn belt right now. STEPHEN NO! Come on, Calvin! I've defended this title honorably for two months, don't let Axel's actions get in the way of that. CALVIN Axel's already proclaimed his innocence, but I don't really know who to believe right now. What I DO know is that I've got a lot of VERY angry fans who thought they were ripped off after that match AND an incredibly pissed off Peter Knight who did the "redecorating" job you see here earlier today. Fortunately, I think I've figured out a way to make both the fans and Knight very happy, while at the same time punishing you for this little stunt you tried to pull. JOSEPH But I told you..... CALVIN (channeling Mr. McMahon) SHUT UP! Here's what we're going to do: On our New Year's special on January 1st, it will be Stephen Joseph versus Peter Knight, once again for the OAOAST World Heavyweght Championship. AND, if you decide to do something like this again and get yourself disqualified, you will LOSE the title and Peter Knight WILL be the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. That is all, you are dismissed. JOSEPH But....That's NOT what HAPPENED! CALVIN I SAID you are DISMISSED. Get out of my office. Angrily, Joseph gets out of his chair, picking it up and flinging it against the wall before leaving. edit: Some slight edits, nothing major. Adam 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 PK, it might just be me having another idea of how to do things, but I really don't like the whole Axel/SJ handshake thing. It didn't look right when SJ wrote that Axel helped SJ at Climax, and it doesn't look right now. If Axel was a chair wielding maniac that took SJ's head off, why would they be shaking hands? Here's what I was thinking that would make the next two weeks slightly more logical: THIS WEEK - General Manager Calvin Szechstein comes out to the ring and calls Axel out, saying that he not only ruined his title match at Climax, but he screwed up the entire Pay Per View, and now he has to face the consequences. Due to his interference, there will be ANOTHER title match scheduled for the New Years show, once again seeing SJ defend against PK. - Axel comes out, and Calvin tries to tell him that he's indefinately suspended. Axel stops him, and informs him that he can't do that. Calvin asks why, and Axel tells him a little story of some clauses he put in his new contract. Considering OAOAST Management were so damn desperate to sign him to a deal, they gave in to his demands. One of his demands was the ability to make a title match for himself. Now, due to a loophole, the word 'title' can be interpreted as 'position'. So, next week at the NY show, its going to be Axel vs. Cal for the GM spot. Then, Axel wins the GM spot at the New Years show, and helps PK win the belt. Its logical, its easy to follow, and it keeps the turn until the end. Axel wins the GM spot as a face, does his thing, and by the end of the night, he's a heel.
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 Adam, If you noticed, the match was redone with a different finish, so there is no Axel/SJ handshake However, the above story still works for the storyline But I thought Calvin was a face too? Adam's not giving off a face vibe here?

How about Calvin shows that footage on the big screen, but I take out the handshake and just have Axel nod or something when SJ extends his hand? I like that footage for the whole "hand caught in the cookie jar" aspect, because it gives Calvin a logical reason to try to suspend him because he doesn't put it past SJ to try and pull something like this to keep his title. Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2005 How about SJ and Axel just nod? I dont want to see SJ getting the cold OHHH he didnt get the handshake. Plus, as a character, SJ wouldn't be doing a handshake, he'd be looking around and slightly nervous, just not seeing the cameraguy
Adam 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) Here's a new version. PK, change as you wish, but tell me what you think. We zip backstage to the office of GM Calvin Szechstein where said GM sits with a very agitated look on his face. He listens intently to the other end of the phone line, but he's about to burst at any moment. We see that the room has been very and thoroughly trashed; chairs are toppled over and a trash can sits on its side, contents strewn all over the floor. CALVIN WHY WASN'T I TOLD ABOUT THIS? HUH? Calvin stops, and the look on his face turns wilder. CALVIN IT WASN'T A PRIORITY? WELL WHAT THE *BLEEP* KIND OF BUSINESS ARE YOU RUNNING HERE YOU SHADY BASTARD WATTS? HUH? WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE SCREWING ME OVER LIKE THAT AND MAKING ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL? We hear the door open and Calvin flinches a bit at the sound, but relaxes a bit as Stephen Joseph enters. Joseph briefly looks around at the mess before turning a chair upright and taking a seat. CALVIN SCREW YOU Watts. Screw. You. *THUMP* Calvin slams the phone down and looks across the desk at SJ, simply folding his arms and listening as Joseph begins. CALVIN Stephen, right now, you'd best shut your mouth. I could strip you of that damn belt right now if I wanted to. Don't push me. I've already had to deal with a bunch of calls and e-mails from pissed off fans about what happened at Cimax and then I have to deal with an extremely pissed off Peter Knight doing this "redecorating" job and screaming at me to fix this situation after what Axel did to screw it up. Now Watts calls me with more bullshit and......AARGH. He sweeps the phone off his desk, startling SJ a bit and causing him to flinch as it hits the floor. STEPHEN Oh what, now you have a little problem with Axel too, and you're going to take it out on me? CALVIN All I know is that, on our New Year's Day special, you have a rematch with Peter Knight, once again for the OAOAST World Heavyweght Championship. AND, if you decide to get someone else to interfere next week, you will LOSE the title and Peter Knight WILL be the NEW World Heavyweight Champion. That is all, you are dismissed. JOSEPH But....how the HELL is that fair? CALVIN I SAID you are DISMISSED. Get out of my office. Angrily, Joseph gets out of his chair, picking it up and flinging it against the wall before leaving.
