therealworldschampion Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 Can we have one more Sleeping Sherman pic as a farewell?
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 "Huh? Wha? I'M WHAT?!" *grumble**snore**back to sleep*
Dobbs 3K Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Living in Wisconsin, and a Packer fan, I feel this was the right move. I don't blame Sherman for this terrible season, but I think there were some games that should have been won, but weren't, partly due to bad decisions and bad play calling on the field. Still, Sherman leaves with a solid win-loss record and three division championships, but no Super Bowl appearances. The Packers need to move towards life after Brett Favre (regardless if that is this coming season or one or two after), and need a new direction. It's the right time for a new head coach.
Guest Vitamin X Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 The thing I never liked about Sherman was that he was far too conservative. His lack of aggression in many games caused the team to just constantly play for overtime instead of trying to win the game earlier. That's why you saw so many games this year come down to the wire and lose, because you can't always gamble the clock away like that and hope to win.
Guest bigm350 Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 I wouldn't be surprised to see Green Bay make a run at Mariucci now.

Guest Vitamin X Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Anyone would've gotten beat by the Patriots that year, anyways.
Guest Duke_The_Dog Posted January 4, 2006 Report Posted January 4, 2006 Its come out locally in GB that Sherman was terrible at relations with his coaches. He banned the 2nd tier scouts from the War room on draft day, he monitored the phone records of his coaches to see who they were calling, he refused to let his assistant coaches do news interviews, etc etc All Ray Rhodes had for off the field gossip was a habit of dropping big loot at the Casino.
Guest Arnold_OldSchool Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Sherman is supposedly the odds on favorite to get the Jets job
