Guest Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 omg, if the wE uses anything cept the Foley idea, I will personally fucking murder Tommy. I WILL DAMNIT.
Guest papacita Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Ok, these have to be some of the worst booking ideas I've ever read...which means WWE should be offering him that writing job any day now.
Guest Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Benoit and Guerrero could run out at the end of the match and jump Austin & RVD. The Hardyz could then grabs chairs to make the save, but instead use the chairs on Austin and RVD. Ric Flair could then introduce Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Hardy Boyz as the new Four Horsemen. I see where he's coming from. By having Austin and RVD joining the 4H club, that would actually make people give a rats ass about the stable, and remember: If the group doesn't involve someone who is a.) feuding with a McMahon (DX) or b.) IS a McMahon (The Corporation), no-one will care, because what's the WWE's Golden Booking Rule, kids?! Kids: MCMAHONS EQUAL RATINGS!!! What?: THAAAAAT'S RIGHT!! Back on topic, What should be done is The Hardyz "show respect" to Rob Van Austin and help them fight off Benoit and Guerrero, then RVA attack The Hardyz with the chairs, thus joining the 4H Word. What?
Guest Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 *BRING BACK THE FOUR HORSEMEN: With Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero already a unit, they should go all out and have Ric Flair introduce a new Four Horsemen to Raw. I would have Stone Cold come out this coming Monday and demand a match against Chris Benoit. RVD's music could hit and he could come out and say he wants Eddie Guerrero and they should team up to take on both guys. Austin agrees to the match and Ric Flair's music hits. Flair comes out and says he runs the show and not them. He says since they want to be a tag team so bad, they could team up later in the show to take on the Hardy Boyz. For the Raw main event it could be Austin & RVD vs. Hardyz. Benoit and Guerrero could run out at the end of the match and jump Austin & RVD. The Hardyz could then grabs chairs to make the save, but instead use the chairs on Austin and RVD. Ric Flair could then introduce Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Hardy Boyz as the new Four Horsemen. I wanna see the Horsemen back, I really do, but the name of the Hardy Boyz isn't even fit to be uttered in the same paragraph as Horsemen. Benoit, Guerrero, Flair, Anderson...these are names that could work, but NOT the Hardyz. You want something for the Hardyz to do? Have Raven begin manipulating them, eventually joining up with him, and turn them back into dark heels. Meanwhile, your new Horsemen roster will be Guerrero, Flair, Benoit, and Storm, with Double A as your manager. How is this Benoit and Storm thing gonna work out? Continue on.... *MOVE THE nWo TO SMACKDOWN: With the Four Horsemen as the new heel group on Raw, nWo really wouldn't be needed on the show. Vince McMahon could continue his feud with HHH on Smackdown and asks Ric Flair to make a trade with him so he could get the nWo on his show to take out HHH. This would make the nWo seem fresh again, like they are getting a new start. Once nWo arrives, Vince could say he didn't send a ticket for Kevin Nash to come to the show because he's out injured and he's useless. Vince introduces Chris Jericho as the new leader of the nWo. The nWo (Jericho, Booker T, Big Show, and X-Pac) could then feud with HHH. At the same time, X-Pac and Booker T could win the tag team titles from Rikishi and Rico. Rikishi could stay in the mix of feuding with Booker and X-Pac. Big Show could start a little program up with Hulk Hogan. This could lead to.... I'm inclined to agree with the notion of sending the nWo to be reunited with Vince, especially if a Flair stable comes to fruition on Raw. You do this by switching up the nWo with Benoit and Storm.... Both Flair and Vince justify this in storylines, with Flair saying he's getting 2 far more talented guys for a lethargic group of four who couldn't get the job done, while Vince comments on how he's getting more numbers for his show. But Jericho as the leader of the nWo is pretty fucking retarded. I'd rather Rikishi stay out of the way, and a Big Show/Hulk program would be an abomination, so that's out the window as well. You want this to work, have Vince introduce the nWo, have Jericho get jealous at not being Vince's boy anymore, this being the final straw as he challenges any nWo member, turning face but getting his ass beat down by the collective nWo in the process (and not the face we saw as the cheesy Steph-dissing, trite-Catchphrase shilling bore, I'm talking a serious face). This way Rikishi can stay the fuck away and remain in the depths of the opening card, as now you have a face to fight off the nWo. A couple weeks of nWo beatdowns continue, until finally Triple H begins coming into play with the saves, swinging his sledgehammer and all. This sets up.... *WAR GAMES CAGE MATCH FOR JULY PPV: It would be Chris Jericho, X-Pac, Booker T, and Big Show against HHH, Hulk Hogan, Rikishi, and a mystery partner. The mystery partner turns out to be the returning Kevin Nash as a babyface. I believe the War Games match would draw and it would be a fresh PPV main event. Rikishi getting HHH, Hogan, and Nash to do the Too Cool dance with him after the match could get the biggest pop ever. I mark for the War Games. But your teams would be Nash, X-Pac, Booker, and Big Show vs. Jericho, Triple H, Hogan, Edge OR Angle, as Vince throws Kurt in as extra insurance for a surefire win, the crowd and announcers thinking he'll cost the Smackdown team the match-up. There's your swerve, as Triple H turns heel in this match, and joins up as the new nWo leader....somewhere down the line infuriating Nash, as he then turns face, and Nash and Triple H switch roles. And while the Too Cool dance could get a good pop, across the rest of America you'll hear the sound of simultaneous toilets flushing and refrigerator doors closing, as I, or most persons I know, don't want to see that bullshit. *VINCE'S TRADES BILLY & CHUCK, FAAROOQ, VAL VENIS, MARK HENRY AND AL SNOW TO RAW FOR THE nWo: Doing this would reunite the APA, which I believe is the best idea for them. It would also make Raw the show for tag team wrestling with Hardy Boyz, Billy & Chuck, and APA all on the same show. They could also put Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown back together as a team. Val Venis seems to be lost in the shuffle on Smackdown, so a move to Raw pushing him as a big babyface could help his career out. As for Al Snow, this is what I'd do with him... *CONQUISTADORS CHALLENGE X-PAC & BOOKER T FOR TAG TEAM TITLES: With X-Pac and Booker T as the only tag team on Smackdown, the Conquistadors could show up on Smackdown and challenge them for the titles. The Conquistadors upset the nWo to win the titles. One unmasks as Goldust, which would fit the storyline perfect since he's gold and doing the program with Booker T. The other could be Al Snow. Both are Raw talents and could bring the belts back to the Raw show where all the tag teams are. Snow could do his old head gimmick. I believe a tag team of Goldust and Al Snow would produce an endless amount of comedy vignettes. Goldust wants head! Fuck. I missed the Golddust/Snow thing in my original post i.e. forgot to copy and paste that one. Uh, while it'd be a good idea teaming them, this entire overbooked scenario he's laid out is wrong. Keeping up with the above two ideas... Just make the Tag Belts a "floater" title, like the Undisputed and Women's Titles are now. Much easier than orchestrating a giant trade...when the nWo for Benoit/Storm trade would be enough, so as not to over do it. PAUL HEYMAN WINS WWE WOMEN'S TITLE: Yes, you read that correctly. Paul Heyman beats Trish Stratus on Raw to win the WWE Women's Title. Heyman could then appear on both shows. It would be entertaining as all hell seeing Heyman as the Women's Champion and being a pervert by changing in the same dressing room as the women. He could drop the title a few weeks later back to Trish on Smackdown. While on Smackdown, Heyman gets in the ear of Deacon Batista. He tells him how much promise he sees in him and how he could be the next big thing along with Brock Lesnar. Once Heyman loses to Trish, he returns to Raw with the announcement of signing Deacon Batista. He says he will no longer have that horrible name or gimmick under his management. Batista debuts as his old monster gimmick in OVW as Leviathan. Heyman could also bring in Sean O' Haire. Once Stone Cold is done working a program with the Four Horsemen, he'll have a fresh feud waiting for him with Heyman's monsters. Whippleman's reign was bad enough, so no "Women's Title" win for Heyman. Keep Bautista on Smackdown. You wanna have Lesnar and Heyman make an impact? Just keep bringing up young guys from OVW/HWA, such as Shelton Benjamin and Sean O'Haire, and place them with Heyman... Your problem there, is that a Heyman group is yet *another* heel stable. If you wish, simply have only the Heyman/Lesnar team remain intact, and eventually Rhyno comes back in order to vent on how he was once Heyman's chosen one. This sets up a Lesnar/Rhyno program at some point in the future, with Lesnar falling to Rhyno and Heyman recieving a Gore GORE GORE. Next night, Heyman blames Brock and the team disbands, with Heyman eventually debuting another pet project to take care of Brock. *BRING IN "COWBOY" BOB ORTON AS A MANAGER: In the new issue of Raw Magazine, they have a story on the old male managers and why they aren't around anymore. I say they change that by bringing in Orton as the manager of his son. Randy could stay face though, with his Dad making him do a bunch of heel things that he doesn't want to do. They could do a gimmick where his Dad makes him wear his old cast for a month or two and uses it to win his matches. You can tell Randy is very upset that he's winning his matches this way, but he's doing what his father tells him. Finally they could build it up to a big match with Randy against someone like Jericho. His Dad could tell him to use the cast but Randy takes it off and throws it to the ground. Jericho could use it to beat Randy. After the match, his Dad could give his son a beat down and lead to a big father vs. son match. It could be a very entertaining story to follow. I actually like it. BRING BACK MICK FOLEY: WWE TV needs Mick Foley back in the mix. He was one of the biggest stars in WWE history and the fans love him. I have a great way to bring him back in....... SIGN CROWBAR TO A CONTRACT: Here is someone that is just as crazy as Mick Foley that could also work a cruiserweight style match. He has a great look, he's young, and he was one of the few guys that was actually over when WCW was still in business. I don't understand for the life of me why WWE has never signed this talented worker to a deal. I say bring Crowbar in and have him quickly win the Hardcore Title. He could then cut a promo saying how he was sick and tired of watching the title that his idol Mick Foley made famous being used as a joke. Crowbar then does Foley's old gimmick of having three different personalities. He could be himself as Crowbar and come up with two different personalities as well. Maybe he could even get his hands on the old Mankind mask and use it. He can always talk about how Foley is his idol and he's going to make him proud. They can build to a Crowbar vs. Jeff Hardy Hell in the Cell match with Crowbar promising to live up to Foley's jump. At the end of the match, Crowbar could have Hardy on the table outside the ring and goes to the top of the cell and is about to jump off of it and Foley's music hits. Mick Foley could make his return to stop Crowbar from killing himself. Maybe they could then have Foley be the Commissioner of Raw and possibly build to a huge match between Mick Foley vs. Crowbar in the future. I believe Foley could turn Crowbar into a huge star. I, as much as anyone, want Foley back in some way. But why sign yet another talented guy that'll be shat upon by the booking crew, when your roster is already inflated. Noble idea, but no. *WHAT DO YOU THINK?: Please take a moment to let me know what you think of my ideas by E-mailing me at: [email protected] I think you're a dumbass. How you got a a job writing for a semi-respectable and well-known site and not some out-of-the-way, crappy Geocities deal, is beyond me. But whatever, I know my ideas are probably as flawed as his, but going by his outline I just re-thought things as best I could on the spur of the moment, and did what I could with his shit.
Guest Human Fly Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Foley should stay gone. He left under good circumstances, and in all reality what does he have to offer? Anyone who has seen him on his robot show can tell he is in poor shape. I don't think he'll come back as a wrestler. Do we really need a commish? With Flair and Vince clear tv leaders of their respective brands the day of commisioner is dead. Foley can come out and pimp his new book whenever WWE is by his hometown for the cheap pop, but other then that, at this point in time there is not much that Foley has to offer (maybe commentating).
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Who is this Tommy guy that the WWE would consider his ideas anyway?
Guest Redhawk Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Did someone tell Tommy that while he made RAW the "tag team show," he has the Tag Team champs on Smackdown? That's why one person cannot write for a wrestling company. You need a team to catch dumb mistakes like that. That being said, I kind of like the Horsemen idea. But instead of the Hardy Boyz, pick a more naturally heelish tag team. I mean, the Horsemen are supposed to be expert heels, and Matt and Jeff Hardy would be just learning the heel act. I'm not saying they should pick the Impact Players, but a team similar to that would work.
Guest Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 evenflow, he used to book/own ( i don;t know for sure) a descent indy called ISPW which did shows through jersey. NOw he writes incredibly stupid columns for 1wrestling.com. That should sum it up for you. --Rob
Guest DrEvil Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Tommy must work real hard at being this much of a dumbass. 1. The Horsemen - ok, so The Horsemen are the internets favourite "bring em" subject and with Benoit and Eddy together with Flair around it's a natural start. But the Hardys??, that's approaching Mongo McMichael territory. Like them or hate them, nothing about the Hardys comes close to suggesting that they are Horsemen material. Reforming The Horsemen can only be done at the right time, the right place (in a Horsemen town), and with the right talent. No one else on the Raw roster is Horsemen material. 2. nWo - trades would only serve to make the entire split useless. More than that, has he even bothered to watch the shows lately. Nash is firmly entrenched in the storylines as the ass kicking leader, Booker T is clearly in line for a turn, Big Show and X-Pac? well they're Big Show and X-Pac. Another revamp of nWo storylines would kill the angle even more than it's already slow death. 3. War Games - ok, a war games match might be interesting. But Hogan/Rikishi/Nash/HHH together, you have to time this match with a calendar, plus Rikishi dancing *shudder*, the four of them dancing *kill me now* 4. Tag Teams on Raw - once again trades are a bad idea at this point. What would the APA's poker & beer skits bring to a division? How could those teams make it a watchable division? 5. Conquistadors - just a horribly flimsy thrown together way to bring the titles to Raw. Al Snow cannot go back to the Head Al Snow, he's seen now as the humourous, fun and sane trainer. 6. Heyman - dumbest idea ever. This would even be worse than Oklahoma winning it in WCW. Then of course to the old standby of the monster Lesnar/Leviathan/O'Haire faction. 7. Bob Orton - Bob Who?? I liked Orton, he was a great old school heel, but he has no name recognition. Even showing highlights of his career and the signifigance of the cast wouldn't stir much interest because the majority of fans wouldn't remember. Overall though, not a bad idea and well booked. 8. Foley - Would Foley be interested? To say nothing of the fact that there's no place for him with an Owner/Commissioner/Booker for each show in Flair and McMahon. 9. Crowbar - the latest saviour of the Hardcore division. He could do it, so could Raven, Rhyno, Awesome, Bubba Ray, anyone. The division needs better booking not better wrestlers. Crowbar has talent and would be a welcome addition, but he would be lost in the shuffle of garbage matches.
Guest Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Is this guy related to someone at 1wrestling? He sounds like he's 12 years old.

I'll agree with you somewhat there, cuz as long as I've been watching wrestling (a little over 11 years) I don't know shit about the man. But with Randy in there, he does have a little bit more name recognition...and they could always build from there.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Why do you so many of you care about what Tommy Fiero writes. He doesn't write for the WWF, and he probably never will. The WWF most gets hundreds of people trying to be writers sending in ideas. Fiero just happens to write for a well known website. It might not be fair, but life isn't always fair. If you can jokingly make fun of the guy that's fine (he more than deserves it), but some of you seem angry. If it upsets you that much than don't read his column.
Guest dr deaf Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 You wonder if Fierro is on pot or somethin while he writes... nah, if he was it'd at least be more entertaining. Nothing like some good spots while stoned. The trash talking doesn't go over well, short attention span and all.
Guest Human Fly Posted May 31, 2002 Report Posted May 31, 2002 Some people said they e-mailed Fierro and broke down why everything was a bad idea. Did anyone get a response?

It's like when someone tells you the worst joke ever (the 50 sowsandbucks one) and you can't get over how bad it is and it's under your skin for a good part of the day (weekends or vacation time)
