Guest Report post Posted May 31, 2002 Here's what I think... I'm by no means a HHH mark. I don't like the guy too much because I just don't think he's that great in the ring and I thought he was overreated when he was putting on "four star matches" which I considered around the level of ***. BUT did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, Vince and the writing team have wanted to push HHH... maybe, just maybe, it's Vince walking up to HHH saying "hey, Hunter, we want to push you and give you the title. What do you say?" Well, considering you would have to be a complete DUMBASS to say no, maybe just maybe he said "yes." And I guess by saying "yes" then he is classified as a backstage politician. I'm not saying this is what happened or is happening... I'm just saying, you guys have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and to actually sit there and say that you do, is incredibly insulting not only to my intelligence but to your own. If HHH doesn't like the guy, then fine. But don't be sayin that stuff just because we don't know what goes on backstage. Sorry but when I read stuff like "THAT GODDAMNED HHH NEEDS TO JUST BREAK HIS FUCKING KNEE CAP!" thats when I laugh at what little you guys know but how much you THINK you know. Put two and two together that's fine. But some of you seem just so sure. You're presuming, but you're presuming with no evidence to back up your claims other than "HHH hasn't put Jericho over." Well, maybe it's because the WWE doesn't want Jericho to go over HHH. Yeah I know... I've questioned HHH too, especially hearing him in an interview saying "I think Jericho has the POTENTIAL to be a star" which left me wondering "what do you mean potential? Hell Austin tapped out as a heel...Rock loses all the time...and Taker at least puts over Austin (something HHH never had to do...even as a blowoff to Austin getting hit by a car...WHATZUPSITDAT?) No, but have they beat him in every match they had for over two years? Let's not forget what Trips did to Jericho in that Mania feud. Jericho's Raw win over HHH in 2000 that got reversed is probably the cleanest win over a main eventer he has ever had. I think he got Angle just before Angle's Kane depush. So I guess it's okay for you guys to complain about it, but it's not okay for HHH to say something. Hey I've got a theory, maybe HHH suggested to Vince that the idea of Brock knocking out so many guys was getting old and maybe Vince thought "hey, he's got a point." End of story. Hell, I hardly ever post on here but I read the board every day at work. A handfull of posters try to speak for everyone a bit too much.
