Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Listening to this for the first time in awhile. I wish the album as a whole were as good as its highs—"Daft Punk is Playing at My House" and "Tribulations"—but it's still decent. As for the copycat tracks, I'm sure James Murphy had fun imitating the Fall and the Beatles and Brian Eno, but what was once amusing has now worn very thin.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 27, 2006 Author Report Posted January 27, 2006 I've said it before and I'll say it now: the bonus disc with the early singles blows the proper album out of the water. "Losing My Edge," "Beat Connection" and both versions of "Yeah" are all stellar.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 I didn't have fun imitating anything.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 27, 2006 Author Report Posted January 27, 2006 I'm listening to Teenage Fanclub now, but everyone is still free to discuss LCD Soundsystem.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 The new avatar is a winner, dude.
Garth Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Tribulations and Daft Punk Are Playing At My House I've heard before and I'm definatly impressed by them. Although the rest of the album isn't as strong, would you still recommend picking the album up Inc?

"Losing My Edge," "Beat Connection" and both versions of "Yeah" are all stellar. That's true. I actually went ahead and got that cause of some stuff I heard on your radio show, and it was from the bonus disc.

Although the rest of the album isn't as strong, would you still recommend picking the album up Inc? Weak spots aside, you get enough quality material spread over two discs (for the price of one), that yeah, if you liked what you've heard so far, you probably won't regret getting it.
Zorin Industries Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I agree that the second disc was better than the first, but I don't get the love for "Daft Punk Is Playing At My House", think its probably my least favourite track. Got that Juan McClean album as well, thought that was fantastic, i'd recommend that to anyone
PLAGIARISM! Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 Pretty much the best example of music I think is good but would never spend money on or choose to listen to. Like The Chemical Brothers.
