CanadianGuitarist Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Wilbon described him on PTI as an 'upbeat, pleasant guy, the face of baseball during the early 90's" RIP Kirby.
Guest jlvideo Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Well baseball lost of the greatest players in the game and still so young(45), I know the twins will have a tough time trying to keep their spirits up during this turbulant of times. My prayers go out to the Puckett family and keep the faith after their loss. God bless you kirby and thanks for all the memories you have given us. Jack
The Niggardly King Posted March 8, 2006 Report Posted March 8, 2006 Kirby always figured he would die young, considering most of his family members died before they were 50. Most likely the reason he didn't give a fuck about what kind of shape he was in towards the end. One of the few reasons I gave a damn about baseball when I was a child.
Jericholic82 Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Sad to hear, RIP Kirby. Weird to see someone I still remember seeing play die.
