Lt. Al Giardello Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Does Culpepper remember he tore 3 ligaments in his knee and may not be the same player again? Steve Smith anyone??? Steve Smith's injury was less severe than Culpepper's. While a broken leg isn't nothing to sneeze at, Smith's broken leg doesn't trump tearing 3 ligaments in the same knee. Culpepper with one leg is better than a Kerry Collins with two. So true...
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 So his mobility might not be able to get back to what it used to be, I recall saying he was one of the better quarterbacks in the league and I still stand by that. He has a hell of an arm and a very nice touch to his short-to-medium range passes. It's just a shame for the Vikings (but a pleasure for fans of other NFC North teams like myself) considering that one of the reasons they hired Childress probably had to do with the similarity between Culpepper and McNabb, except Culpepper is bigger, faster, and has a stronger arm.
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Just heard on ESPNNEWS that he's pretty close to being traded to the Dolphins.
Kahran Ramsus Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Adam Schefter has said that the Raiders, Ravens, Jets & Saints are all out. That leaves Miami as the most likely destination.
Art Sandusky Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 If he can perform at the same level, Miami's looking scarier and scarier next year.
Special K Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Does anyone remember how freakishly bad he was before he got injured last season? I know I shouldn't count it against him too much, he did fine without Moss in 2004, but I really dislike Culpepper. He's a fuckin' putz. I hope the Vikes get something good for him, though.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 If you think he is a putz, why do you hope and apparently expect something good in return? If he is a putz, then he wouldn't net a good offer.

The Ravens were rumored a long time ago to be interested in him, but it was in a trade for Jamal Lewis who they didnt franchise tag.
