Oh, AND casket matches...just plain freaky to a six year old.  Those poor guys wouldn't be able to breathe!

I marked out like hell for the rockers breakup on the barber shop. There was this other time that Berzerker tried to stab Undertaker with a sword and the sword went through the ring. Scared the hell out of me.

I'm quite certain that the Bossman beatdown occured on WWF Superstars, because I recall Mr. Perfect and Vince doing the commentary and they were the Superstars announcing team at the time. I recall being scared during that beatdown, as some of it just seemed so real. The shot that stood out in  my mind was the one where Nailz drove that nightstick into the Bossman's leg and the snap sound that followed, was realistic, making me think at the time that he had just broke his leg.

Some have mentioned the Jake/Warrior thing and I tell you, even though some want to call the snake corny and fake now, you'd be lying if you said it didn't freak you out at the time. Something that no one has mentioned about that angle yet, was after the Warrior broke the door down and was on the ground seemingly struggling for his life and he looked up to see the Undertaker standing over him. Until that point as a youngster, I didn't really understand that Jake was turning heel, but seeing him there with the Undertaker drove the heel turn home for me.

When Papa Shango made the Warrior puke or make black tar fall out of his hair. Scary to a 5-6 year old.

The snakepit angle frightened me so much that i had nightmares and to this day i am afriad of snakes.

Nailz just scared the hell out of me in general - I thought he looked like a psycho murderer to a T.  I remember some Summerslam where he basically strangled Virgil to death and then there's the Bossman beating, of course.

Though overall, he didn't scare me, just the thought of Doink cracking a prosthetic arm over Crush's head was kind of creepy.

Other than those, mine is easily the "trust me" era of Jake "The Snake" Roberts, for all the reasons that everybody else has listed above.

Undertaker trying to embalm Austin...I wasn't a mark...I was just disturbed that they were even doing that angle.  Same goes for the Taker sacrificing Mideon on Raw where he cut his hand and made Mideon drink the blood and then carved a taker symbol on him...that's messed up stuff even when you know it's fake.

I have a few scary mark moments I can think of.  I remember that Nailz beatdown of Bossman vividly.  Even before that when the had the promos of Nailz talking he scared the heck out of me. Then on Superstars a man in a prison outfit comes in the ring and I was like oh no!  I have the WWF mag with the pictures of Bossmans bruises that was scary too.  Undertaker never scared me, I thought he was kind of cool (and this was weird for a 8 year old mark).  The Savage getting bit by a snake, now that was freaky for me.  As was the time The Mounite threw water on Bret Hart and "electrocuted" him.  Also, I think any time a face was going to fight a monster heel, it scared me cuz I just knew he would lose, ex Sting vs Vader GAB 92, I just knew Vader was going to kill Sting, it was kind of shocking now that you think of it, that the heel won the match the face should always win (after an injury angle).  And I was worried for weeks when I found out Bret had to face Yokozuna at Wrestlemania 9. BTW, I'll admit it, I bought the whole Shawn falls unconcious after Owen kicked him in the head on RAW, that looked too real for me.  I was so sad that Shawn's career was "ended".

Scariest moment for me was when Ludvig Borga ended Tatanka's undefeated streak by pinning him with only one finger.  I was a huge Tatanka mark, and I remember being SO sad that day.

That was probably my second biggest markout moment, right behind when Bob Backlund snapped on Bret Hart.  I only got Superstars up to that point, so I was pretty excited to see an actual WWF title match.  When Backlund slapped on the Chicken Wing after the match was over, I went nuts.

I got a little frightened when Bob Backlund held Bret Hart is the Chicken Wing for a really long time while no one would throw in the towel.  Bret was always my fav back then so I has scared for him.

I was at that Superstars taping on July 3rd, 1993. 5 and a half hours of squashes until Bret and Backlund. He was selling it like a mo-fo and then later that night he wrestled Owen and was fine.

It was also Joey Marrela's last WWF card. He died the following morning.

Oh man I was so upset when Ludvig Borga beat Tatanka and ended the winning streak, that was bigger than Goldberg's streak to me back then.I was in one of those I am not talking to anyone because Tatanka lost moods.

Thanks.

Actually I thought Shawn Michaels really did pass out, but it was because he had been beaten up outside a nightclub in real life and was still recovering...maybe I'm wrong.

I was convinced the Shawn Michaels thing was real too,it was so out of the blue and it didn't seem to fit the storyline at that point but it did in the long run,but I wouldn't think of you as a mark if you thought the Shawn Michaels thing was real.

Thanks.

Didn't the Bob Backlund/Bret Hart thing happen in 1994 not 1993.That was pretty crazy too!!!One thing I remember about this WWF SuperStar/WWF Challenge,WWF All American,WWF Action Zone,ect...was that they always took part in a small arena and you would see stuff from that arena week after week after week.

Thanks.

Actually Shawn collapsing in the ring was an angle to build more face heat for Shawn (like he needed it) for Wrestlemania. Since he was going to be the next top babyface  I guess Vince felt he needed this.  Now Shawn really was attacked (I've seen it at many a website) after getting into an arguemnet with some army dudes at a bar.  Reportadely, X-Pac and Davey Boy Smith were there as well.  Shawn was drunk and started talking smack and got in a fight with about 4 guys (as opposed to the 9 thugs story).  He was hurt, but not that badly.  Enough for him to have to forfeit the IC belt I guess, though I have heard shawn didn't want to job to Shane Douglas, and we all know Shawn has been know to forfeit his title when he doesn't want to lose.  So take it for a fact that Shawn was fine by the time Owen "hurt" him and it was all an angle for a shawn-owen program that culmintaed in an excellent match at In Your House in February 1996 (I just watched this match the other day)

So this was just the first of many "reality angles" that caused many to think that Owen's death was just a work.

Yes it was 1994. I was 7 so i dont remember it too much. But Kwang spit the mist and got the ref's shirt because the jobber kicked him in the back prematurely. 5 hours for a 7 year old is too long.

Many angles developed at that show. The backlund angle and the DiBiase angle with Luger at the Heartbreak Hotel. I got some Bret Hart glasses too~! Had them until my dog tore them up last year(must...kill...dog)

I think 7 hours of non-stop might be too much for anybody of any age,I mean that is a long time to just be sitting there watching wrestling.

Thanks.
