SWF Smarkdown card (June 4/2002)

Recommended Posts

Guest BA_Baracus

PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed);

"Sorry about the lateness of the card.  My computer was screwed up and I couldn't post it.  The show has been delayed until Tuesday as a result...

---------------------------------------------

Show: SWF Smarkdown

Date: June 4, 2002

Arena: The Allstate arena in Chicago Illinois!

Due date: June 4, 2002 at 12PM (noon) board time.  This is a Tuesday people!

Commentators: Mark Stevens and Bobby Riley.

Mark Stevens - Face.  Play by play guy with a bit more insight into how matches are worked than most announcers.  Tosses in little things for the smart fans here and there.  Real life example - Tazz/Raven.

Bobby Riley - Heel.  A serious commentator who knows his stuff and often includes insider references and is extremely abrasive.  I suppose if you’re having gay joke withdrawal with the removal of NTD then you can include those too, but they shouldn’t be focus of his commentary.  Real life example - Paul Heyman.

SINGLES MATCH

Xstasy vs. Fallout

- These two both suffered defeats on Storm.  Which one will get back on their feet with a win on Smarkdown?

Word Limit: 4000 words

Send to: Suicide King

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR THE US TITLE

Annie Eclectic vs. Durandal vs. Xero

- Jay Dawg was stripped of the US title on Storm for his incompetent boobery.  On Smarkdown 3 of the SWF’s newest talents will vie for the vacant belt.  Despite being new, there’s still some WF history between these 3 (probably some JL stuff too, but that doesn’t matter)…

Match Description – DQ and count-out rules are in effect.  The first person to score a pinfall, submission or knockout is the winner.

Word Limit: 4500 words

Send to: BA_Baracus

POLE MATCH FOR THE HARDCORE TITLE

Ash Ketchum © vs. Stryke

- Ash made his SWF debut at Crossfire and defeated Stryke for the hardcore title.  This Monday Stryke gets his re-match.

Match Description – Regular DQ and count-out rules are not in effect.  A pole that extends about 10 feet above the top rope will be attached to one of the turnbuckles.  The first one to grab the belt and touch both feet to the canvas with the belt in their possession is the winner.

Word Limit: 5000 words

Send to: Suicide King

NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH

Chris Wilson vs. El Luchadore Magnifico

- Magnifico brought Chris Wilson’s heavyweight title reign to an end back in the day, but on Storm Wilson managed to score a tag-team victory over the luchadore.  This Monday the two will go one on one…

Word Limit: 5000 words

Send to: HVilleThugg

Superb! I knew I'd get my hands on Wilson one-on-one someday, and here it is! The new commentators are plenty nifty also, if I do say so myself.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I updated my stats to represent my new job as announcer.  Nothing major, and mostly useful for the catchphrases and clothing.  I am looking forward to this...

And remember...

Grand Slam was a technical wrestler and a student of the sport.  So he would know the names of peoples moves, even the obscure ones, unless he has never, ever used them.  Grand Slam does his homework...

PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed);

"Yeah...a Stevens/Riley team to replace the Lawler/Ross-ish NTD/Curry team.

Man...

...all our smart internet fans will crap themselves with joy when they hear this.

Mothernature says...damn internet...always giving away Storm spoilers!"

ooooo...ELM in my first singles match back.  Nothing like getting tossed right back into the fire.  Should be a goodie, whoever pulls it out.

The other three matches are also superb, with two title matches and X and Fallout curtain-jerking.  Are you kidding me?!  When those two are opening your show, its a solid card.

EDiiiiiiiiit: Stubby, you silly goose: A Hardcore championship match with DQ rules in effect?  Silly!

Oh, and I'm taking it myself vs. the Mexican is just regular stips, since your usual clearness is lacking in our match description.  Just wondering.

Hmmm, its the first time in a long while I haven't seen my name in the card. I better make use of this week off.

Looking forward to the first and last matches especially.

"Whoops.

Hardcore match fixed.

If I provide no description assume it's a full-DQ singles or tag match.

Ooh, rematch time.

A Pole match should be interesting, and throwing in some new commentators should make this rather fun to write.

Oh well, off i go to try and become a 2-time champ.

Nice card...for Smarkdown.  Smarkdowns tend to be the worse of the 2 shows, with so many people taking the show off.  But this looks solid, even if it's only 4 matches.  Lots of room for promos here people...so get to it dammit!  I want some good f-ing angles!

And it's still so weird to see a card without my name on it.  I keep going, "Why am I not booked??"  And then I remember..."Oh...I wussed out and retired"

Da "yep, he's retired" H

Hey, a show off!  Nice to get a break after churning out over 20,000 words within the last week.   Some cool matches, too--Wilson/ELM is an old-school showdown with mega-mega history.  I'll be watching eagerly, and trying to conjure up some angles and ideas for promos over the weekend.

Hmmm...two smart commentators.

I mean we could degrade Munich into a Michael Cole

I just realized that I have yet to mention that I'm so boosted about marking the main event!  It's gonna be a doosy!  I mean, the man who brought me into the WF and was a huge part of my success, versus, the man that I defeated for the world title as a result of the success the first man brought.  Wow...it's gonna be great.  I hope both guys include some history and real heat in their matches...hint, hint.

Da "yep, still bored...and still posting" H

I'm so proud.  I've got matches or extension requests from all my people...  this is a great day for the SWF.

Let it be known that the SWF, after a long period of no-showing, can now stop loving the cock.

Until Storm.

Indeed it is a great day for the WF, as I, too, have received my matches as well.

Hmm.  No activity here.

I hope the show is exciting and full of promos!  Whee!

Sigh.  Alas it was not to be.  One WFer has forced me to reinstate mass cock-loving.
