"Your god-damned plane ticket was switched. How the hell does that fucking happen?"

Kevin Coyote sighs. "Avery, don't make me go through it again. It was bad enough I had to explain it to the airline employees; I really don't feel like reliving it now. Let's just say it was an unfortunate incident, and I suspect foul play."

Avery Duciel just shakes her head. "Whatever. I talked it out with Joe Peters, and the good news is you're not suspended. This time."

"Well, that's a relief. So did I get a match this week?"

Avery nods. "You're going one-on-one with Sean Davis."

"Sean Davis?" Coyote gets visibly upset. "What the hell kind of booking decision is that? I don't have heat with Davis. Besides, Davis has no real personality to speak of. Not to mention the guy stands a full head taller than myself. Does that seem like a fair match to you?"

"I'd say that's a fair match for someone who was this close to getting suspended a few hours ago," Avery counters. "Besides, there is one advantage you have that he doesn't."

"What's that?" asks Coyote.

"He doesn't have me in his corner."

"I suppose you have a point," says Coyote. "Very well, we'll suffer through this match, and then after Smarkdown we move on to bigger and better things."

Avery nods, getting a curious smile across her face. "You know, I have a few things in mind."

"Do you?"

"Well... seems CC is looking for new tag teams to contend for the Tag Team Championship."

Coyote shakes his head, looking away from Avery and folding his arms. "Forget it. After what went down with Insane Luchador, there is no man in the SWF that I have any interest in forming a tag team with."

Avery winks at Coyote. "I didn't say your partner would be a man."

Coyote raises an eyebrow, and glances at Avery in surprise. Avery just smiles at Coyote without saying another word.

"I like the way you think, Avery."

"Haven't you always?" asks Avery.

Suddenly a phone rings, and both Kevin and Avery quickly check their mobile phones.

"It's mine," says Kevin. "Funny, I didn't think anyone else had my number." He quickly flips his phone open and answers. "Hello."

"...hello?"

"...anyone there?"

Angrily, Kevin hangs up the phone. "Someone is determined to piss me off this week."

Yeah, like the weekend.

"Hello, is that Mr. Brooks?"

"...yes."

"How has your weekend been so far, sir?"

"Rapidly getting worse."
