Fred Phelps up to his usual subhuman activities

Just heard a story about the family of a dead soldier suing this group for disrupting his funeral. Their rationale is that a funeral is a private event, so Phelps' group has no right to protest at it. I hope they shut him down for good.

 

Also, I still don't get how they can draw the rationale between "soldiers dying in combat" = "God's punishment for America's tolerance of gays." You could just as easily throw out there that it's God's punishment for our tolerance of illegal immigration, or abortion, or our love of fast food, etc.

 

Also, I understand this church group is made up mainly of Phelps' relatives, so it's not like this is actually some legitimate church organization that's gaining followers or anything.
