RedJed 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 For anyone who wants a decent attempt at 80s nostalgia, check out this Legends reunion ppv they got playing right now. Heavy emphasis on this show being a NWA/WCW tribute of sorts. Havent watched all of this yet, but so far its been really bad matches w/ Duggan, Disco Inferno, etc, but the presentation is really good w/ Cornette and Lance Russell doing commentary. Just a fun show with not so much the emphasis on the workrate, but just pure entertainment factor. They also do video packages in between matches showcasing certain 80's territories' footage, such as Memphis (although what they shown was pretty recent actually), Championship Wrestling of Florida, WWC (old mid 80s footage), etc. I think its on digital cable ppv pretty much most of the entire month of May. RedJed 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2006 Vamp/Colon was a tremendous match, didnt expect the workrate there and got it bigtime. Carlos beat the fuck out of Vamp after the match, good match to play into caribbean wrestling. Just showed REALLY old footage of Kamala, almost when they debuted him in a vignette (which I have no idea what organization he started with). Now Kamala v. Jake Roberts, who actually is not drunk or anything like Heroes of Wrestling. For once Roberts doesnt look like hell froze over. They also had a Greg Valentine v. Snuka match that saw some guy dressed up like a Nash imitation called DNA do a run-in for Valentine. How the fuck this guy got on a legends show makes no sense. RedJed 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2006 PPV was $20 I think, not that bad but could have and should have been cheaper. I did stop watching the show entirely, though, during the Midnight Express match and have just been so busy lately havent had time to watch the rest of that one and the really lame sounding main event.
