Anorak 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2006 My mum listens to a combination of classical, motown, chillout and stage show musicals (Chicago etc). I'm sure she's got Carole King and Dido as well. My Dad mostly only has 60's music.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2006 So far lovecraft has the coolest mom in terms of musical tastes. When I was younger it was all about the man-rock: Bon Jovi, Don Henley, Bill Joel, Mike and The Mechanics, Peter Gabriel. Nowadays she'll listen to stuff like Feist, Coldplay, Springsteen and Streisand.

Nowadays she'll listen to stuff like Feist, Coldplay, Springsteen and Streisand. She still loves Henley and Gabriel, so not everything she likes is good, though I don't have a problem with her love of Peter Gabriel.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 3, 2006 My mom loves Roy Orbison, Elvis, singer/standard stuff like Frank Sinatra, Janis Joplin, and Patsy Cline. Dad's an ex-hippie prog dork that loves Ravi Shankar and Phillip Glass. LOTS of concept-type material.
