Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 Well it's been a while, but here's some news on Horror movies and TV, Hope ya like -There is going to be a fourth "Re-Animator" film, "called "House of Re-Animator", that will reunite the original director/writer/producer team of Stuart Gordon, Dennis Paoli, and Brian Yuzna. In this one, a Bush-Like President dies of a heart attack, leading the white house to call one Herbert West (Yes, Jeffrey Combs is reprising his role) to bring him back, and of course, chaos insues. William H. Macy (who recently starred in Gordon's adaptation of David Mamet's play "Edmond") will play the president, and Bruce Abbot is in talks to be in the film, as is Barbra Crampton (she might play the first lady) and George Wendt (he might play the Vice President). -Dario Argento will be directing the long awaited third entry in his "Three Mothers" triology (the others were "Suspiria" and "Inferno") soon, with a screenplay written by "Toolbox Murders" remake writers Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson. He's also directing an episode of Master of Horror called "Pelts" for the second season. That episode will star Meat Loaf and John Saxon. -Also directing in the second season of Masters of Horror will be Ernest ("Bones", "Tales From The Crypt Presents Demon Knight") Dickerson and Brad ("Session 9", "The Machinist") Anderson. That's all for now.

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 Hopefully House of Re-Animator is anywhere near as good as Beyond Re-Animator. Nothing will ever top the original, but Beyond was a solid fucking sequel. Also, I'ma use this time to ask a question to the other horror buffs here: Ever notice how fucking insanely messed up and disorienting the Phantasm series is? The first one still doesn't make sense to me and I've watched it about 20 times, and my favorite one (part 2) seems to go way too fast with things happening just like bam-bam-bam. I love this series more than I love most other horror series, and I know Coscarelli did the whole "mindfuck" thing on purpose, but man...I remember them making a lot more sense when I was younger and saw 'em all for the first time (we're talking 9, 10 years old). I need to find all 4 of 'em on DVD. I've found the first and the fourth, but have yet to find the second and the third. Isn't there a boxset of them?
haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 Damn, John Saxon is still around? Count me in! Dario Argento directing the third part of that trilogy (I had no idea that Suspiria and Inferno were related) should be fun.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2006 I think we need to talk about Bubba Nosferatu, starring Bruce Campbell and Paul Giamatti, directed by Don Coscarelli. :D
