Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 5, 2002 While I don't think the match was terrible, it seemed to go on a bit too long, particularly coming off the heels of last week's ladder match. It was a solid match, although for such a special "wrestling" stip, it didn't seem any different to me at all (except, as already mentioned, chops instead of punches). Regardless of what you thought of the match, what about the aftermath... the promos next week of Flair being Austin's servant for losing the match? I think (and hope) Austin just uses Flair to book a match at the PPV against Eddie Guererro or something, but who knows what junky skits the WWE will put out because of this? I can't wait! Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Oh, forgot to address the topic. Yes, I do think it was a waste to spontaneously blow off the angle like that on free TV. But as long as it's in a decent match, I really don't care, because that makes it more accessible, which, if done consistently, will create interest in a product such that the WWE may take note and plan out PPV's better because of an increased interest. At least nobody's wasting their money, right?
Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2002 For some reason, I see the direction for next week going as follows Austin embarrasses Flair throughout more than half of the show, making him do demeaning work, placing him in embarrassing situations etc... then near the end of RAW, Austin will blow it all off by telling Flair that he can stop doing all of this, if Flair grants him a match with Eddie at KOR... or whatever
Guest Nater Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Maybe this leads to Benoit vs Austin.
