Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I guess it's mostly just American fans who hate Justine. I think a lot of that has to do with how Wilbon and Kornheiser were constantly slamming Justine and Kim a few years back as part of their nut-hugging of the Williams brothers. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 5, 2006 All reports say Lleyton played very well today. And I'm pleasantly surprised. While Lleyton is definitely easy to hate... I've missed him playing like he's capable of. Penis is in the Top half, while Justine is in the Bottom half. I'm fully confident Justine would destroy her on clay. Penis probably makes the final out of the crappy top section, though...
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 I think Kuznetsova could beat Mr. Williams, but only if Sveta gets through Syco Safina and decides to play finesse tennis and doesn't try to rely on her power game. It's looking increasingly like the older Williams and Nadal are just going to go through the formality of winning the next two matches to make the Final though. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 5, 2006 Swetlana only knows how to play power tennis. Her entire game is bashing the ball to your backhand, and hopefully setting up an easy winner. Safina can win that, though... it seems as if she's found some consistency with her own brainless bashing game. Roger/Rafa final on the men's side is basically a formality at this point. I know Fat Dave gave Roger a tough match in the Rome SF, but Roger was awful in that match. It should be easier this time. Plus, no assurity Nalbandian can beat my beloved little Russian, Davydenko. Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2006 It's too bad Justine and Martina are in the same draw because that would be easily the most appealing final at this point.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 Well, after an incredibly well-played first set Martina Hingis succumbed to Clijsters on two sets. Too bad, because I really wanted for Hingis to reach at least the semis. You could see that her style of playing is totally different from the rest of the power-hitting pack. A sight for sore eyes, as they say. Now Clijsters will probably face Henin-Hardene on the semis. BTW, Venus and Safina are out. Valdisova vs Kuznetsova? I have no idea. Federer vs Ancic is going on now. Roger is up 3-2 on the first.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 6, 2006 Blah... if Martina could have snuck out that 1st set, the 2nd would have been a entirely different story. Oh well. I hate Kim. Please win Thursday, Swetlana. I hate Nikki even more.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 I'm still on pace to get the two finals I predicted a month before the draw came out, JHH vs Kuznetsova and Federer vs Nadal. Of the four women left I don't have any issues with any of them, although I guess for sheer rooting interests I'd like to see JHH win it all because it would crush fans of the Williams bros. Then I'd go with Kuznetsova so she could have more Slams than Hypapova. Vaidisova would be 3rd because she'd steal some of Maria's hype, and Clijsters last even though she's my favorite of the four simply because she's planning to retire next year and I'd rather see someone gain an actual boost to their confidence as they go forward. With the men, I can't root for Fat Dave because he's such a choke artist and I despise Djokovic for what he did to Monfils at the US Open last year. I hope Rafael triple bagels his ass. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 6, 2006 Kim is not retiring next year. I believe her and her bum daddy said 2005 or 2006 was going to be her final year before. It's just more of her stupid act, where she can thank the fans for helping through the tough times, and her various injuries before EVERY slam, and she will perservere for them, because KIM IS SO NICE! She "overcomes the odds" more than Cena. Nicole is even worse than Maria, to me. She can be a flat out nasty bitch on court. And she has a horse face. And she's a Maria clone. Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 This trend of Kim eliminating Martina from the grand slams is making me dislike her very rapidly.

I disagree with the "horse face" remark. Vaidisova's attracive. Maria is just a tall blonde with herpes sores by her lips, lumberjack shoulders and no curves. And Vaidisova beat 'Pova right after her Wimbledon win on the WTT circuit when she was just 15. Vaidisova has a lot more potential than Maria, and I like the fact that she doesn't try to hide that she is a bitch unlike the great white hype. Nicole's bratty outbursts are always quality. I think Kim will quit because she wants to have babies, and she will not be the kind of woman who can have one and return to playing tennis. With her body type, Kimmy strikes me as the kind of woman who will be 200+ plus pounds once she squirts that first baby out. I did have to chuckle at the Cena comparison though. Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 6, 2006 The only part of Nikki's game that I enjoy is that she has a great serve. Which is a very rare quality in the shitty women's game. And it pains me as I was a specialized serving coach. I still hate her, though. Everything else, she's a Maria clone. Same awful backcourt bashing. Dresses exactly like her. Ugh. That's a good point about Kim. You know she's just as big of a slut as Lleyton is. I still think she plays another handful of years, though. I don't see her as the Mommy type just yet. Ugh... sexual thoughts about Kim. She is such an ugly beast. Why did my well-hung Lleyton have to do that. Ugh. Also, I really hate Maria's new commercial. At least her old one was funny seeing her face 100% different with all the blemishes gone, and her trying to act seductive.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2006 The ESPN tennis messageboard has taken to calling Kimmy Fiona from Shrek which is pretty fucked up, but still appropriate. I'm pretty sure Lleyton did her doggiestyle to avoid looking at her since she has a nice body, but is a definite butterface. In any case, I'm hoping Juju whoops her ass in the Semis because I want to see Justine get her 5th Slam to tie Martina and your boy Penis. The hugely padded bra shot of Sharapova is hilarious in her new commercial. The rest of it sucks, but that one shot is worth it because it's so ridiculous. I'm gonna end up missing the Men's Final though because of church, I'm just hoping Federer wins it.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 7, 2006 Penis does have 5 slams... ugh. Don't remind me of that. It still gets me mad. Judging by the expected hot, dry conditions on Sunday, and Rafa looking a little shaky so far... I'm gonna pick the Roger upset in the final. And do you post on any other tennis boards? Judging by the usage of Juju, I assume you do. I'd suggest not mentioning me on any of those boards. Willies' fans tend to hate me, and get me banned. A lot. Lolz. naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2006 Svetlana makes it to the final in 3 (5-7, 7-6 (5), 6-2) after choking away the first at 5-3. Vaidisova then returned the favor when she couldn't serve for it up a set and 5-4. A tough break for Nikki, but I think the better player won in the end. I'm hoping to see her play JHH, but I have a feeling Kimmy's winning today.

pochorenella 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2006 Yes! Federer goes to his twentyeth-something consecutive final after poor Nalbandian had a boo-boo on his shoulder on the third set. They were tied a set each and the third was easily going Federer's way. And I don't remember exactly when it happened, but Federer scored an amazing point with a modified "willy" shot that was just off the hook. Fuck "willy", I'm officially renaming that shot "the Roger." EDIT: Nadal took out Lubjicic (sp?) in three sets, so once again we have Federer vs Nadal for the Title, this time a Grand Slam final. Hopefully they'll have another barburner and I hope Federer takes it.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2006 Justine's a set away from her 5th Slam now. If Kuznetsova somehow wins the 2nd, I think she might just steal this one because JHH looks like she's getting a bit tired already.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2006 Justine held on for a solid, if unspectacular, 4 and 4 victory and Slam title # 5. As predicted, the outcome was met with much wailing and the gnashing of teeth from Williams Brothers nation who instantly accused her of being back on the gas. Amazingly, every person who roots for the kids from Compton is convinced that Justine was juicing, but there's absolutely, positively no way that Serena aka the poster child for steroids was on anything. No way. No sir. None at all. If Federer pulls it off tomorrow I will have predicted all four of the finalists and the correct outcome of a Grand Slam before the draw was posted for the first time in a couple of years. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2006 Hats off to Nadal for a great win. Federer didn't look like he was having a good day, and you're just not going to beat Nadal on clay without your best tennis, no matter who you are. 60 straight wins on clay is just an amazing feat. I was shocked in how quickly the match turned. Nadal just flicked a switch or something in the second set, and Federer wasn't able to respond until it was too late, which amazed me. Federer didn't look like he was having a good day, and you're just not going to beat Nadal on clay without your best tennis, no matter who you are. 60 straight wins on clay is just an amazing feat. Couldn't agree more. After a strong start with the first set, Roger just fell into a slump on the next two sets, making over 30 non-forced errors. His playing was pretty inconsistent throughout the game, and he seemed only to pick up the pace and apply pressure since the 10th game on the fourth set, which gave me a slight glimmer of hope that he would present a greater challenge on the tie-breaker. But it was not to be. Federer's backhand shots were his prime weakness today, missing an insane amount of shots, whereas in different times that is usually one of his strongests. Congrats to Nadal on winning his second Roland Garros Title, he certainly worked hard for it. I expected a bit more from Roger, but then I guess I was spoiled after that unforgettable 5-set Rome final. Still, the guy made it to 3 consecutive finals on clay, clearly not his strongest suit, and he lost all of them to the only guy that could present a challenge to him. Wimblendon is coming up and I see him taking it once again. Let's see how well Nadal fares after the clay season is over.
Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted June 17, 2006 The men's final was very disappointing. Roger again played scared and stupid against Rafa. Congrats to Rafa... and I'm excited to see how he can do past RG now. Lost today in Queen's, but this week is meaningless.
