Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 5, 2002 From RajahWWF.com: Triple H has not been present at recent WWE production meetings. Last year, he was a regular at the meetings, where PPV line-ups and TV direction are decided upon. Wrestlers such as X-Pac, Chris Jericho and Al Snow used to attend the meetings, until they were restricted to management only. The thing that gets me is the last sentence. If the meetings were restricted to "management only" than how (and why) does HHH still get to attend them (up until recently)? The last time I checked Hunter wasn't apart of management. Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2002 At least management did something right, by keeping X-Pac away from the meetings.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 5, 2002 The weird thing is...as soon as these wrestlers stopped going to these meetings a few months ago, the ratings have gone down.

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 5, 2002 I was asking the guy who was saying that the ratings went down as soon as those wrestlers stopped attending productin meetings.
Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Do you know when these wrestlers stopped attending meetings? I believe it was after WrestleMania. There was a small blurb in the Observer one week about how word had gotten out about how Triple H would bury certain wrestlers in the production meetings and that there was a lot of heat about the situation. Just a couple days later there was a story on 1wrestling.com about how WWE had decided to ban wrestlers from attending anymore production meetings. The reason given was to cut back on leaks. Guest Sakura Report post Posted June 5, 2002 HHH is too busy in the production truck editing pops to go to these meetings. Ah, so many people to bury, so little time. It's tough to be The Game.

Guest buffybeast Report post Posted June 5, 2002 I would assume that even though HHH may not be sitting in the production meetings any more, Stephanie still is present. And I would also assume that HHH still has influence over things through his close relationship with Steph. So his presence is still most likely felt in those meetings. Guest Army Eye Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Ouch, HHH not in production meetings. Your guys' fantasy world is crashing down around you.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 6, 2002 oh it sure does Army Eye. Hey wait...do any of the other wrestlers girlfriends attend them? No? Oh...well then I can still see a conflict of interest there.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted June 6, 2002 I don't know, does Pat Patterson still sit in those meetings? . . . . . I've done a Patterson joke... I feel so dirty.

Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 6, 2002 if he isn't attending the production meets how can everyone blame him for everything wrong in the wwe. ohh wait, it will switch back to steph now.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted June 6, 2002 This is getting tiresome. Why don't all you anti-HHH warmongers go hitch yourself to another bullshit conspiracy theory just to make things interesting again?

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Alright. I've had about enough of this. "prove he has political clout"..."Are you backstage"...blah blah blah Fact 1: HHH's girlfriend is the head writer. Fact 2: HHH is always being pushed. Now...someone PROVE that he doesn't have political power...or stop asking others to prove he does.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Fact 1: HHH's girlfriend is the head writer. Yeah, and she made him look like a doofus during the build-up to WM against Jericho. Whether you want to believe it or not, HHH was made to look almost as stupid as Jericho was in that feud. Fact 2: HHH is always being pushed. Who else on the Smackdown roster should have gotten the title shot? Angle or Jericho? They're heels and heel/heel main events don't sell, period. Hogan? He just had a PPV main event with Taker just last month, so no dice there. It's Smackdown's "turn" for the main event and HHH/Taker is the only fresh match-up from a face/heel standpoint. And since he's not going to win it anyway, all this bitching about a continuous push is laughable at best. Now...someone PROVE that he doesn't have political power...or stop asking others to prove he does. You still haven't proven that he HAS it in the first place. About the most he probably did in the booking meetings he attended was suggest some ideas, or maybe plan out a match. Does that excuse him fom having so many sucky matches since he came back? No, it doesn't. Everything on this board lately has been nothing but "HHH sux becuz he have power backstage" and yet no one can prove it or disprove it. We can only speculate and UNTIL someone does one or the other, I say "SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY". This shit is so tired. Find someone else to blame like Vince(fat chance of THAT happening). Guest snowfan Report post Posted June 7, 2002 APO, I think you're missing the fact that HHH is going to get the title at KotR. It's sad really. -Archan Yup. I have sworn off ppv purchases with Aardvark in them. I *did not* buy Royal Rumble to see HGH win. The fact that he is constantly "winning" even though he is not the most over guy in the shop is in itself telling of his "influence". Snowfan

It's sad really. -Archan Ah yes, it's a fact he's getting it at KOTR. And who, might I ask, said that? Or is it just more speculation? It's really funny how some people toss around the word "fact" around here lately...

I mocked people who said HGH would win the Rumble. "He is too slow and they have too much momentum with other wrestlers right now," I said. HGH made a believer out of me. Why in the "f" did he need to win the Rumble? Did he need elevation, or to "please his fans"? Nope. He injected himself into the title picture and kill Jericho and Angle. Selfish booking. HGH=the new Dusty Rhodes
Guest converge241 Report post Posted June 7, 2002 I think even HHH and Taker realize that it might not be the best thing to change the belt AGAIN , as well as the bookers. I dont like Taker as champ but its better to try and draw some money chasing a heel champ, IMOHO. and hey maybe that theory will come into play with a heel HHH. "facts" have been proven wrong numerous times here. people were saying HHH would hold the belt for a year before WM or so and so turning heel. I think everyone could ignore the "fact that HHH will win the title at king of the ring" until...you know, it actually becomes a fact.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 7, 2002 Yeah... I think the WWE is done hot-shooting the title for awhile... Taker isn't THAT bad of a champ... better than HHH and Hogan. But, that's not saying I would be TOO surprise if HHH DID win.

Did he need elevation, or to "please his fans"? Nope. He injected himself into the title picture and kill Jericho and Angle. Selfish booking. HGH=the new Dusty Rhodes Here's a completely off-the-wall idea nobody's thought of yet: Maybe, just MAYBE they WANTED to push him? He won the Rumble because he was the freshest face at the time and since the Rumble winner automatically gets a WM title shot, then there should have been on doubt as to WHO was winning it. It's been like that for the last 4 years with the exception of Vince's bullshit win at RR 99. And, he didn't "inject himself" into the title picture, he was the only fresh face because Rock had already spent 3 months jobbing to Jericho so that feud was PLAYED, Austin was losing at No Way Out anyway, and Angle was a heel, so what the hell did you expect? Heel/heel main events don't draw, PERIOD. THAT'S why Angle only had one title shot despite putting on the best matches leading up to WM. Is it REALLY that hard to see the logic behind what happened 3 to 5 months ago?
