Saw it last night and was very surprised that it's actually really good. As in one of the best movies I've seen all year. It's not the typical Adam Sandler movie at all. Reminded me a lot of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mond but a little less good. I'm in SHOCK that it's at 31% on Rotten Tomatoes. Couple of good reviews though...

"This comic fantasy is the best vehicle he's (Sandler) ever had, a high-concept goof that gradually darkens into an emotional nightmare reminiscent of Capra..."

"One of the best American films of the year so far. "

I saw it last night.

I disagree with you and thought it kind of sucked. I'd give it *1/2 out of *****. It was an incredibly unfocused screenplay with actors on cruise control throughout. It was like they had two different scripts; one wacky typical Sandler comedy and a cheesy, maudlin dramedy. I thought if they wanted to do a dramedy, they should have gotten an actor better than Sandler and if they wanted to do a wacky Sandler movie they should have lightened it up a bit. I thought the premise was a decent one ( a remote control that controls your entire life) but the execution rather poor.

Sorry about making the thread. If the question is directed towards me, I loved Punch Drunk Love. Maybe delete mine or merge the two.

You probably didn't like Punch Drunk Love, either, did you?

I loved Punch Drunk Love, it was my favorite Sandler movie because it had a cohesive script and Paul Thomas Anderson knew how to properly utilize Sandler's marginal acting skills. That and it had an amazing supporting cast while Click had a bunch of washed up actors from the 70s and 80s who seemed to be half assing it.
