Guest Human Highlight Reel Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 It's true in certain cases, when Mysterio or Hardy are wrestling, he draws all the attention on himself hating them. JBL is very, very good at putting people over though, even Rey and (to a lesser extent) Hardy so it all evens out. The camera needs to stop giving us shots of JBL though, because it takes attention off of the match. He does draw more attention then a regular commentator, but I put that to him being used to doing promos, rather than commentary.
BorneAgain Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 JBL is still trying to get it just right. During stuff with Londob/Kendrick, Lashley, and especially Booker he's great and adds a great deal. It'll take some time to get where he needs to be but he's shown tremendous apptitude for the position already.
KingPK Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 There hasn't been a true heel commentator on WWE programming in years, so I think JBL's done a pretty good job in the snippets I've caught. His booming voice is going to take time to get used to, though.
benn Posted July 3, 2006 Report Posted July 3, 2006 The Guinness can to JBL was gold. Yet another solid show from SD. Too bad the cage match wasn't as good as their match last week, and I still think London and Kendrick should be being on tv rather than a man in a dress and a stooge on a scooter, even if they only showed them scouting the Pitbulls during their match or something.
