"Bah...a rash of people taking 1 or 2 weeks off for whatever has led to our first 4 match Storm card!  Oh goody!  Oh...and I'm thinking of just skipping the upcoming Smarkdown since if we went ahead that would make 2 shows in a row where people only got 2 days to write and it would probably be no-show city.  Should we, shouldn't we...discuss it on the this thread.

- Durandal beat out Annie in the US title triple threat match on Smarkdown and Xstasy defeated Fallout by DQ on the same show.  Now all 4 will combine for this tag team match on Storm.

Edwin MacPhisto vs. Ash Ketchum

- Edwin has never been a hardcore specialist and Stubby knows this.  Stubby hopes to humiliate the heavyweight champ by having him lose to the WF rookie, Ketchum.

Match Description – Regular DQ and count-out rules are not in effect.  Submissions, pinfalls and knockouts count anywhere within the arena.

- Perfect Bo came close to defeating Edwin for the title on last week’s Storm and was largely responsible for retiring the Hville Thugg (now a Carnival ally).  Magnifico and Bo will go one on one this Friday…

Well, it's not really that bad for a four match card.  I mean, there are two tag matches, so it's not like you've only got 8 people booked.  I think the tag title match is going to be the standout match of the night--Stryke with a chance to become double champ, Wilson looking to get his first gold since his return, and Sacred probably doing most of the work himself because JD is out of the loop.  Should be a damn good read.  Hardcore against Ash should be pretty swank in and of itself for me.

 

As for not having a Smarkdown: might be a decent idea.  Get everyone a bit of a rest instead of packing everything in.  My only concern would be that the storylines that are just starting to take shape would lose momentum with a week between shows.

 

If we do axe Smarkdown for this week, we shouldn't have the next PPV until June 30, I think, because it really feels like we haven't quite pulled away from the impact of the last one yet, and I think we'd need four full shows to get it going.

"Okay...so most of you are for skipping Smarkdown.

 

I don't know about doing a promo show.  I say it's probably better to just post the promos on the board.  If we put them all together into a show, less people will read them and the promos will get fewer comments.

 

Oh...and if we skip Smarkdown the following Storm will probably be moved up to Thursday or something so you guys don't all forget this place exists or something.

I agree, no one would read the promo show.  You can't compare it to the JL or ML because in those leagues, those little bastards comment on everything....but up here, people are indifferent, so...

 

Skipping Smarkdown is probably a good idea....I think some people are a little burnt from the past couple months, and it's around finals time isn't it for all the high schoolers.  Moving Storm back a day...I don't like that.  As a marker, I wouldn't be able to mark on Saturday, which is why i quit marking JL matches.

 

What?  You mean the fed doesn't revolve around me anymore??  The fuck it doesn't!!  HVT's decree is that the show remains as is...bastards!

Just that the individual promos would get more attention if they're just posted on the board.  If they're all together in a show, certain ones will be missed/looked over.

 

Plus people will end up posting promos on the board even if we have a promo show and that wouldn't really be fair for those who actually tried to get something in for the show, as their stuff would get less attention.

 

Basically I've just never seen the point of promo shows, so we won't have one.
