Guest Whatmaniac Posted June 5, 2002 Report Posted June 5, 2002 It seems that everyone has pegged Triple H vs. the Undertaker as the main event for King of the Ring. Given the way that Triple H has been booked these past few weeks, it seems more likely that the Intense One will end up jobbing to Christian in the opening match. Barring a sudden shift in the WWF's current booking patterns, it is unclear just who the Undertaker will face. Prior to his injury, it seemed as though Edge would be the one to challenge for the title since he is currently Smackdown's top face. Since that does not look likely now, I would like to see some predictions as to who the Undertaker will face at King of the Ring. The most likely challengers are as follows 1.Steve Austin-a stale matchup but it ususally results in a solid match 2.RVD-probably the most likely choice now that edge is injured. 3.Hulk Hogan-you know the company is short of main event fan favorites when this guy is among the main eventers 4. Triple H-the WWF seems to have soured on him as a main eventer for now. 5.Jericho-only if there he undergoes an abrupt face turn which I don't think is likely. Any thoughts, alternate suggestions.

Since it won't be for a title, I don't think this will main event. 2: Triple H and Stephanie will not allow RVD to main event. 3: Perhaps. But I think the WWE is getting tired of him. 4: Triple H will definetly be in the main event. I believe the next PPV with be Triple H(yes, he does suck)vs. Taker, Hogan, or Austin.
Guest muswp1 Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 I think it would depend on who walks out with the title at KOTR. I hope it will be Triple H, but most likely Undertaker will retain. Since the next contender will most likely be on RAW, I think it will be (GASP!!) Kevin Nash. With Eddie off beating on Austin, Kane still injured, RVD held down, Flair too old, and no one else in position, it would most likely be Nash.
