Guest InuYasha Report post Posted July 17, 2006 I thought I'd post both of these together, rather than use two threaeds for them. First, is news of video games based on Sumer Movie Blockbusters: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13582044/ It seems video games based on or loosely related to summer movies have been tanking in the sale dept. Most notable so far is the game based off of X-Men 3. Second is yet another state that is trying to make a backdoor law to prevent minors from playing games that are violent, but aren't rated M or AO: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13426631/ Fortunately, almost all the laws of this intent have been struck down in court. Unfortunately, all this has stemmed from the "Hot Coffee" Bomb. It may take years for the industry to recover from the political damage.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2006 Oh, and I doubt either of these titles will be as bad as Superman Returns: The Videogame (yes, that's the official title as of now). With EA publishing, Tiburon developing (a development team that has exclusively done football games in the past), and the cursed Superman license it seems only natural. The game is so bad in its current build *EA* was ashamed to release it to cash in. I doubt a few more months will save it.

Tiburon is terrible...the last game they released, NFL Head Coach, was ridiculously buggy and broken. If Supes was so bad that EA/Tiburon pushed it back, it must be a hilarious shitbomb. Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2006 I refuse to believe they're that concerned about quality after releasing Catwoman, Rise of the Imperfects and Head Coach.

All of the published screens up to this point aren't actually real screens but "target screens," used for publicity. So, it's, like, an estimate. Real game *footage*? Only gaming press saw it at e3, and it wasn't playable.

Another question, what game is that shot from, Jaws? Also, I don't think King Kong sold all that well, it went to $20 at Best Buy pretty quickly...although not nearly as quickly at the Da Vinci Code game, that really did poorly
