Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 http://www.wwe.com/news/headlines/1144959 I'm too damn lazy to Cut and Paste it, so just click it bastards!
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Well, I have to agree with Shawn. That WAS one boring Interview. bLeH
Guest caboose Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Wow. I don't like to sound cynical or question someone's faith, but this whole 'I've Found God' thing sounds a bit corny to me. I'm not totally buying it at the moment. But I guess we'll find out soon enough if HBK is speaking the truth.
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 I can just picture Shawn walking away from X-Pac and Nash and them pointing and giggling like a couple of School girls behind his back. Then, they pop an other Beer and continue with what they were doing.
Guest buffybeast Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Okay, so Shawn has found God, right? If that is the case, then why doesn't Shawn go see a Canadian named Bret Hart and apologize for lying to him about Montreal. Really, I'm not one to question someone's faith or question their motives. But I'm just not buying this from Shawn.
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Well Buffy, Shawn may have found God. But, God won't save him from Bret's Right hook.
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Eugh, what is it with wrestlers and organized religion? *puke*
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Eugh, what is it with wrestlers and organized religion? *puke* What, you wouldn't wanna see a D'von, Deacon, HBK, Sting, Ted Dibiase and Jake Roberts, Church Group, Errr, Stable?
Guest buffybeast Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Well, the man may have found some comfort and salvation in Christ. And if he truly has, then good for him. I don't know Shawn personally so I can't say for sure whether he truly has found God. I'm just having a hard time believing him. And yes, no one could save him from Bret's right fist. But if Shawn has accepted Jesus into his life, and Christ of course will forgive him if Shawn is honest, then Shawn should ask for forgiveness from those he has wronged in his life, including Bret. Punch or no punch.
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 WWE.com: Is this going to be hard for you to go back on the road and be away from your family? Shawn: I don't think anybody expects me to do more than the one show per week at this point. I don't know. But it was difficult just because I was called at the last minute. I was called Sunday afternoon at church and asked if I could leave Monday morning. I'm sorry, but that is just...I dunno. HBK makes me wonder about what he's lying about and what he isn't. I'm glad he has found a new life, but I dunno...
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 And yes, no one could save him from Bret's right fist. But if Shawn has accepted Jesus into his life, and Christ of course will forgive him if Shawn is honest, then Shawn should ask for forgiveness from those he has wronged in his life, including Bret. Punch or no punch. ...as an atheist, I learned long ago not to get into any debates like this because they never end and no one comes out as "the winner." I just hope his work ethic has improved somewhat.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 This Bret thing is just..off. It's been debated, and debated, and debated until it should just be buried. Nobody was in the right. Bret's constant whining of "I didn't want to destroy my credibility by losing in Canada.." just sounds like he didn't have enough faith in himself, or in his FANS. "Oh, he lost. I hate this guy now." Michaels may have been in on it. I don't care. Besides, if Vince was willing to 'screw over' Bret, who'd been working with him fifteen years, what do you think woulda happened if HBK said 'no'? Exactly. It's career suicide. Bad situation, and nobody came out of it smelling like a rose. Nobody will be happy until Bret is officially recognised as a saint, and Michaels is proclaimed the antichrist. Please, let it DIE. -Shiro
Guest Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 Um, no one was debating anything about the "Screw Job." We were just making a comment about Bret not forgiving Shawn. Maybe you need to "Let it Die."

I just hope his work ethic has improved somewhat. Fair enough. I was just saying that if Shawn is a Christian, then he should act like one completely. That is all.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 I believe Shawn is telling the truth. I also believe in 6 months he'll have abandoned his religion.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 6, 2002 Report Posted June 6, 2002 I was just saying that if Shawn is a Christian, then he should act like one completely. Well he already has the hypocrisy end of it down...seriously, I just can't picture SHAWN FUCKING MICHEALS as a reborn Christian. DiBiase I can see. Sting I can see, but not Shawn Michaels. Hopefully the rest of his in-ring promos are going to be better than the interview at WWE.com
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 Well he already has the hypocrisy end of it down...seriously, I just can't picture SHAWN FUCKING MICHEALS as a reborn Christian. DiBiase I can see. Sting I can see, but not Shawn Michaels. Hopefully the rest of his in-ring promos are going to be better than the interview at WWE.com We can believe the guys like DiBiase because they've given it up But when he's running around, pointing at his crotch, humping the ring ropes, I just cant buy it
Guest Shadow Posted June 7, 2002 Report Posted June 7, 2002 Worse....according to the wwe.com interview, he feels he's here to "spread the message", if you read it. Covered this in my own post already, but I'm both an Atheist and an HBK fan, so I really, really don't hope Shawn doesn't start talking about this religious bullshit on-air, as he oh-so-casually implied in that portion of the interview. If he does, sorry Shawn, but I'm changing the channel.
