2 Diva's to RETIRE from wwe....

Recommended Posts

I'm gettin' a Famke Janssen vibe from it.

It's definetly the best I've ever seen Lita look.

I've always loved her ass, and she's got decent fake titties and is hot in a slutty way, but she actually loos attractive here.

Found this at a Trish site and talks about who can step up when she leaves.

August 6 -- WOMEN’S wrestling as we know it is on the verge of dramatic change after a blockbuster week. With Trish’s departure from WWE all but confirmed, news has broken that a second major female superstar is to leave the company. Yes, Lita will be packing her bags as well. It’s a huge development which, on the surface, could have huge ramifications for the women’s division. The loss of Trish was always going to be hard hitting, but it was widely expected that a big name such as Lita would be drafted back into the division to soften the blow. That now looks like a non-starter after the news that she, too, wants to leave for a future in acting.

I’d say the timing of these losses is more than just coincidence, but more on that later. The immediate future is going to centre around booking Trish’s exit in such a way that a new star is born. Looking around, it’s not like the candidates are thin on the ground, but some strange booking (particularly in recent weeks) has rather closed off some options that should have been available to creative. I’m talking about Trish’s recent spate of victories, which flies in the face of conventional booking for a departing wrestler. But for the future of the women’s division, it’s even more imperative than usual that someone else is elevated to superstar status – and quickly.

The favourite right now is Melina. She has long been groomed for the spot of top diva since arriving to a huge fanfare on Smackdown with M&M. She helped turn Nitro and Mercury into one of the most successful tag teams of recent years and has the kind of look and fan following owing itself to a star in the making. She has the clear advantage over Mickie James of being relatively unharmed by bad booking (the recent loss at Saturday Night’s Main Event aside). Her current involvement with Mick Foley is also helping to raise her profile to the point where she could step in to lead the division and be widely accepted by a fanbase looking for a new leader.

Her look also lends itself to that of a babyface waiting to happen. She boasts a ring entrance which makes her popular with the males and seems to have the ring skills which would make her more than capable of holding the belt and making a good fist of it. Her partnership with Nitro may prove to be something of a stumbling block (one would have to lead the other in terms of their character persuasion) and in the long run it may be better for them to split. But that’s not today’s problem. We’re in the last throws of Trish’s reign and as great as it would be for her to go out with a win in her hometown of Toronto at Unforgiven, logic also has to play a part here.

It would seem a straight fight between Melina and Mickie, but as previously mentioned, Mickie has been tarnished by such bad booking to the point where she’s quickly heading for the scrapyard. Her loss to Trish on Raw this week summed up just how bad things have become and it was baffling to make her do the job in a tag match when Victoria (the perennial jobber) could easily have taken the fall. I’d suggest that all is not right in camp Mickie. It seemingly leaves the path clear for Melina, although that wouldn’t have been the case had Lita been staying on the scene. She would have been the natural big name boost to the division which would have attracted attention, if not quality matches, back on to the belt.

I’ve long said that Lita could play a vital role in the women’s division if only she was used properly. The problem with her before was the crazy booking which saw her squash opponents like bugs. It did nothing for anyone but her. However, had she been booked in a much more sensible way which actually helped to put others over, they could have used her immense popularity to great effect. That’s why I’d have looked to her in the current situation to come back and steady the ship. But now we hear that she’s heading for the exit and questions have to be asked about just bow big a part Trish’s departure played in this decision.

The two have become close friends, especially in the last year after Lita was shunned by a portion of the lockerroom, and it’s natural that the loss of one would make the other think about their future too. Then there’s the factor that they both arrived in the company at the same time and have always been linked as the two marquee names of women’s wrestling. The Trish-Lita era has been a hugely successful one and with Trish leaving, perhaps Lita felt it was time to draw a line under that era and head for the departure gate with her buddy.

But one other possibility – and I think this has some merit – is that Lita had her sights set on a return to the women’s division. Sure, she’s been very successful in her role as Edge’s manager, but in her heart she’s a wrestler and is far from a happy bunny at her character’s poor image. It’s only natural that she’d want to get back in the ring – especially in light of Trish’s spot being up for grabs. My mind is cast back to the recent match on Raw between Lita and Torrie which was flung out there for no particular reason. One wonders if that was some sort of test for Lita to see if she could still cut it between the ropes.

As it happened, she wasn’t that impressive and you have to wonder if she was told there and then that she wouldn’t be in the plans for the women’s divison post-Trish. It’s speculation, but you can see the thinking behind it. Regardless, she’s apparently made her decision to leave now as well and within the coming months we’re about to lose two of the biggest names ever to grace their sport. It’s going to be one interesting ride ahead.

Til next week, Stratusfaction Guaranteed,

-Stu
