Why don't we wait for Shawn to actually push God down the viewers' throats before we complain about it?

If his faith means we can avoid the bad dick and fart jokes of dX, I'm all for it.

...Pre-emptive bitching annoys me

How can you say DX was just "bad fart and dick jokes"? Did you actually bother to watch WWF during that period?>>>

Got it ALL on tape to boot.

<<<Sorry, but they took the annoying heels to a whole new level, and also broke down a lot of barriers in regards to what can and can't be done on wrestling TV (remember when they showed the video of the MSG Incident?). To say they were nothing but "bad fart and dick jokes" is very unfair.>>>

That's what they were. I won't sugarcoat it.

<<<And when the man implies that he's going to shove God down my throat, I will pre-emptivley bitch about it.>>>

He didn't imply it. Chris Jericho is devout. He doesn't shove God down anybody's throat.

Did Sting shove God down anybody's throat when he found God?

Shawn Michaels will not suddenly become a preacher. He will play a character similar to his old HBK---but with less of the bad dick and fart jokes.

<<<If we tune into Raw and he doesn't, then okay, I'll shut up- but if he didn't imply it in the interview, I wouldn't be here bitching about it, right? >>>

I love that people can't fathom that a man can possibly find God and not become sanctimonious about it.

Sting is also a Jeebus Freak and he wont go to WWE because of it. >>>

Or maybe, just maybe, WWE never wanted Sting that much.

I don't remember this racist thing. What's that about?

Well, since you evil, evil smarks took it upon yourselves to ignore poor Bobert's pleas, allow Papacita to give us an answer.

*ahem*

Back in 97, he Nation of Domination, happened to have heat with the Hart Foundation because someone vandalized their locker room, spraypainted the Canadian flag on the wall and I think they X'd out the Red Black and Green flag as well. So naturally, they assumed that Bret was behind it, and called him out, and when Bret denied it, DX showed up on the Titantron, and accused the Hart Foundation of being behind it...saying how DX knows the country was built on the back of a black man and what not, basically said Bret was a racist (He was on the Jerry Springer Show, but you couldn't tell because of the white sheet on his head), and the NOD believed DX and attacked the Harts. While I thought the "white sheet" comment was pretty funny, the segment was in poor taste. HBK's feud with Hart already had enough heat to get a good buyrate. They didn't need to take it there.

Oh, come on...

How is that racist? Because a white guy said "black man" on TV? Now, if he said anything involving Negro or Colored, which are now considered deragatory words (blame society, not me) then yes, I would agree with you. But come on...Shawn said NOTHING racist at any point during his career...

at least, AS HBK.

What?

You misunderstood what I said. I said that the segment was done in poor taste. I didn't necessarily say that it was racist. Now if Rocky, Faarooq and the gang had come out dressed up in Jim Crow-like attire dancing for nickels, THAT would be racist. This was just someplace that the WWF didn't need to go at this point, with race being as touchy a subject as it is in the US, seeing something like that played out in an angle could make many viewers unconfortable (I wouldn't be, but a lot of others might). Second, from what I've heard, Bret was completely uncomfortable working in such an angle...although I don't know why, because the overtones of that segment (whether it was its purpose or not) made Shawn and the gang appear to be racist (and made the Nation appear stupid for that matter). And to top it off, nothing significant ever came of the angle (unless you call Shawn mooning the camera significant). If it had actually led to something, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but the angle itself was just all around bad...and they unnecessarily pulled the "race card" on that angle. I disliked the angle more from a creative standpoint than anything else. Now as to do I think HBK is racist? Well...I am black...and he IS my favorite wrestler...do I need to continue?

Why would the nWo quote Phil Collins or Genesis???

I'd laugh my ass off if Phil Collins did a new nWo theme

I just don't see how he can use his new found Christian faith on TV with the nWo.

Nash: Your either with the nWo, or you can get the HELL out!

*HBK points finger at Nash*

HBK: Watch your language young man! Didn't you read Mark 6:58 this morning?

X-Pac: I did.

HBK: Let's talk about it.

*Ratings die after HBK does a 20 minutes cermon on Raw*

Okay...I'm kidding, but you get my point...I Hope.

You know, as a gimmick that MIGHT get over... minus the 20 minute promo/sermon
